How to find a good English Bulldog Breeder?

Having just gone through the process of buying a bulldog, I thought I'd give you a few tips on how to pick a good English bulldog breeder.

1. Make a list of bulldog breeders in your area. Find breeders by looking in the newspaper, yellow pages, asking local veterinarians, calling dog trainers, and searching on the Internet
2. Next call each breeder and interview them.

3. Ask for references
4. If possible visit the breeder and see if the dogs appear to be in a healthy, safe, loving environment
5. Questions to ask are:

• How long have you been breeding bulldogs?
• When will your next litter be ready?
• Are the puppies registered when you sell them?
• What vaccinations and immunizations will the puppy have before I buy it?
• How old are the puppies when you sell them?
• How much do they cost and if necessary who pays for the delivery/shipping?
• Do you provide a one or two year health guarantee for the puppy?

Pick English Bulldog Breeders based on their answers to the above questions. Don't forget to check out the refernces provided by the breeder.
