Six Flags?
Everybody has heard of Dallas. Dallas is a Great city, however they are quickly taking a back seat to Arlington Texas. Thats right, Arlington. Ever heard of it? If you haven't you will very soon.
Arlington is the Birth place of Six Flags over Texas, and soon to follow all the other Six Flags over... Six Flags was opened in 1961 by Angus G. Wynne, Jr. Choosing the name was a task that took some time. They decided to name It Six Flags over Texas because of the Six national flags that have flown over Texas. Always trying to give its patrons a bigger and better experience, Six Flags stays on the cutting edge of technology. Covering 212 acres, there is plenty to do for the whole Family.
This Aint Dallas
The Dallas Cowboys have a new home. Thanks to Jerry Jones the new state of the art stadium is open for business. And it aint in Dallas. Nope it is smack dab in the middle of Arlington. The home of Six Flags and the Texas Rangers. The Dallas Cowboys have been "Americas Team" for years now. The old stadium in Dallas served them proud for many years. But as with anything, you either grow or you wither away. Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys chose to grow. A big attraction in this new stadium is the larger than life flat screen suspended from the roof, it is a site that is beyond words. Of course you still have the sponsors splashing their name over everything, like Coca cola and Nike, but if you can get past that then this stadium will be the bench mark for years to come.
World Series in Arlington Texas?
Sounds a little odd doesn't it? If you follow Baseball at all then you know that The Texas Rangers in Arlington is a young team that has all the right pieces in place. Coming into Arlington in 1972 as the Washington Senators the Rangers have been on an uphill battle ever since. There have been years where they won the Division and years they couldn't win a cold. But after all those years of struggle the Texas Rangers are coming of age. They no longer have Nolan Ryan on the mound, he is behind it, pushing the right buttons and pulling the right strings. The Texas Rangers Baseball team is a great addition to the city of Arlington Texas.
The Night Life in Arlington
