Epila 808 is the new laser hair removal system, a girl's dream come true or is it? Without having tried it myself, I can't offer a consumer review, however, I can tell you what the perks are and if you have already tried this product, please leave your review in the comment box at the end of this article.

The Epila Hair Removal System utilizes the same technology as qualified clinics; 808 nanometer wavelength diode laser.

This handheld device is swept over the skin, emitting laser light energy that is absorbed by melanin (pigment) which rapidly heats the hair follicle destroying the papillae.

The darker you are, the more melanin you produce, so it may take longer to get rid of the hair, however, fair skin people have much less pigment, making this tool ideal for home use.

Once the process is done, you can expect hair to start falling out within 2 months. Although this offers a nice solution to razor cuts and inflammation, it does come with some pain, however, it is tolerable, much like a rubber band snapping on the skin. For me, it's well worth it, but you may not feel this is right for you.

Side effects include redness and swelling. It is advisable to shield the treated area for a few days, especially from the sun. If it does bother, you can put an ice pack on to relieve some fo the discomfort. The Epila 808 comes with 3 light intensities and has passed stringent safety use by the CE. It is convenient and more than 80% effective.

This device has a hefty price tage, anywhere from $199 to $299, however, in my opnion, it is worth a try, even at that price. I hate shaving, I hate the problems that can occur from shaving and I hate throwing away non-biodegradable plastic in the landfill, plus it does save money in the long run, providing it works of course, so if you've tried this, please let us know!!!
