Essential #4: Maximize Oxygen and Lean Muscle through Exercise
56
Banishing Your Excuses and Conquering your Fears
The most important element we need to support our survival and perform at our Max is oxygen. The nation’s obsession with fast and convenient foods (which are slowly killing cells within the body with their high fat, chemical rich contents) has created the mindset that we cannot survive without them. Realistically your body can survive quite a while without burgers and fries, but it cannot live long without oxygen. The Fourth Essential highlights the importance of maximizing oxygen and lean muscle tissue.
Why Do We Need Oxygen?
Your body needs rich levels of oxygen to help sustain cells and their environment. Lower levels of this vital necessity leads to the accumulation of toxins, which eventually lead to the development of disease and potentially to early death. Raising the heart rate by simply moving can help to increase the oxygen levels in your cells. Therefore, the best way to achieve the Fourth Essential to Maximized Living is through exercise.
Convenience and Excuses
I know the task seems daunting. While almost all American’s include a regular visit to McDonalds on their agenda, over 87% do not include exercise. Our convenience driven society claims that with work, family and social lives in full swing we do not have time for exercise. There are plenty other excuses as well. Most of us have developed a passionate hatred for exercise, repeatedly (and, of course, unconsciously) convincing ourselves of sudden injuries, pains, and shortcomings that keep us away from the gym. We’ve all come up with the different excuses to put off exercise, but in reality we must admit that we are only hurting ourselves.
What is the Right Method of Exercise?
The problem seems to be that we do not know the right method of exercise. This model takes very little time and promises the MAXIMUM benefit. The answer to our weight loss and health prayers comes in the form of a perfected version of surge training. By partaking in high intensity, short duration exercise our bodies are responding much quicker, producing essential hormones to burn fat and produce muscle. The added benefit of this type of exercise also means benefits while you exercise, and for hours afterward!
Building lean muscle will help you achieve your Max goal: to intake more oxygen, eventually boosting your body’s cellular function. Don’t let exercise scare you, there is a way you can conquer your fear of fat and your fear of failure in little time and with MAXIMIZED results.
