Euribor is the acronym of "Europe Interbank Offered Rate," it should say, kind of European interbank source. This is the interest applied to transactions between banks across Europe, this means that the percentage rate you pay as a bank when another leaves his money. The EURIBOR rate is calculated as an average of the daily contributions of a panel of 57 banks, for a set of fifteen distinct periods.

The value determines the type variable Euribor interest to the banks to grant a mortgage. This rate are set to 11:00 (CET) and disclosed in percentage with rounding to three decimal places.


When speaking of the Euribor, it is usual to say The Euribor rate, as if there was a rate of Euribor. Since when exists the Euribor?
