Traveling through Paris.

Paris, the capital city of France, is located to the north of the country and situated on the River Seine. It is known as a beautiful city with beautiful old-world architecture, outdoor cafes and stylish fashions. It is also known for its aromatic foods.

Traveling - Paris has two airports, as well as great road and rail services. If you are traveling on a budget, using the Eurostar rail option is great. Regular services run through Paris and from many other European cities into Paris.

History- Paris has a history that is over 2000 years old. It developed towards the thriving metropolis that it is today when in came under the rule of Julius Caesar and the Roman Empire around 52BC. It was also the site of the French Revolution which saw the violent killing of thousands of people.

Sightseeing- Paris is renowned for its architecture. A visit to Paris must include a visit to Sacre Coeur Basilica, Montmartre, The Arch de Triumphe and Notre Dame. You should also take a river cruise up the Seine.

Shops- Paris is considered one of the best destinations in the world for those looking at high end, top quality fashion. The main shopping district can be found in the Champs Elysees. Here you will find all the fashion boutiques and perfumeries.

As you can see, there are many benefits and reasons to visit Paris. You can get many short break packages through Eurostar if you are prepared to travel by train, and often an train trip can only benefit your travel experiences.
