The Secure Solutions Swing Gate is wonderful for mounting at the top of the stairs as it locks tightly and is easily removable. It looks good too, which is a plus, and it is very easy to install. It is also multi-functional. Like all Evenflo gates it is sturdy, durable and affordable. The latch, however, makes noise on this model, and it is sometimes difficult to open and close, especially if you only have one hand free. Despite some of these minor drawbacks, Evenflo constructs decent gates that are safe and secure.

Evenflo gates tend to be safer than other popular ones because they are mounted into the wall, banister or doorframe. They can be used for the top of stairs, the bottom of stairs and even for doorways. Some people prefer pressure-mounted gates because you don't have to drill so many holes in your walls, but if safety is your number one concern, you might want to stick with the drill and mount method.
