- Skip the morning coffee run. Save money by running only as far as your coffee pot
- Don't eat out. Homemade meals seem more expensive because of the ingredients, but remember, you're only using a portion of them. One meal actually only costs a few dimes. Make a lot and wrap up leftovers for tomorrow's lunch.
- Gas is expensive. Plan (and map) out your day so you don't have to make unnessary trips.
- Electric razors are expensives at first, but save you money in the long run. Disposable ones add up after awhile.
- Are you using you're gym membership? And, I mean like at least once a week?? If you answered "no" or "I'm going to start soon," cancel it.
- Don't go to the grocery store hungry. You'll be more likely to but EVERYTHING that looks good.
- Instead of buying new furniture to redecorate you house, paint it a new color and rearrange your belongings.
- Use cash instead of credit. You're likely to spend more if the money isn't tangiable.
- If you need a haircut, style or dye ask local beauty schools if any of their students need hair models. It's take a lot longer for them to do your hair, but at a price of free for cuts to $20 bucks for dyes, it's well worth it.
- Try taking out as much cash as you will need from the ATM daily or weekly, your preference. This way you can avoid the $1.50-$2.50 charges for using a different bank's ATM.
- Read the news online.
- Pack your own snacks when going on trips. Cotton candy is a lot cheaper at the grocery store than Disney World.
- Buy rechargeable batterie--especially if you have kids.
- The Dollar Store is a great place to buy items like loofahs, picture frames, kitchen utensils, etc.
- You a teenaged daughter who demands the latest fashio daily, try Plato's Closet. They buy old clothes (hip clothes only) and sell what they buy for lot cheaper than it originally went for.
- Log everything you buy/pay for in a month including bills, groceries, home decor--everything. See what you can cut out and what you buy way too much of.
