Facing The Sadness of Eviction

A Lot of people are suffering right now because of the credit crunch in the world today and people are losing their jobs daily. Foreclosure and eviction suits have been on a record breaking rise for the last two years with no hints of it slowing down. For people going through this traumatic process it can take a toll on you physically and mentally and affect normal family life. A lot of people get divorced because of these financial strains and then the kids are highly affected by these situations.

Eviction can be embarrassing as well as heart wrenching because of the amount of priceless memories that are lost and trashed. When I walk pass evicted tenants and homeowners waiting for a truck to pick them up, it breaks my heart to think of how this could be a legal process when it just seems so cruel. Don't get me wrong I am a huge fan of people paying their rent but in certain situations you got to have a heart. I wonder how the Marshall's feel everyday putting poor people and their kids out on the streets and just riding off?? It has to keep them up at night.

Then again you do have the good landlords and banks who try to work with you and let you make payments until you get back on your feet. Others seem to get off on evicting families into the street with no remorse. I feel that the courts should come up with a way to deal with this problem in a more humane way that isn't so degrading to people. Sometimes tenants want to try to pay but honestly can't. Unemployment is not a gold mine because you are getting about only half of your regular monthly pay, Imagine that !!!

Instead of evicting people into the streets and leaving them, they should bring a truck and at least help the people to relocate somewhere other than the sidewalk in front of their old place or the neighbors peeking out their windows waiting for them to step off so they can steal that TV or stereo. People for some reason seem to think that eviction means FREE STUFF !! But what if it was you?? All your family heirloom's scattered across the sidewalk while you are at work or out looking for a job, unaware of what is going on?? You get home and your great grandmother's ring that was passed down for generations is gone !! Come on, that's just wrong. They at least could tell you the exact date of the eviction but they do not even do that.

Good luck too anyone that has gone through this or is in the process of being evicted because you are going to need it in this society. If you feel you have been evicted illegally, contact your local Legal Services group or courts.

Its happening to me right now I live in a pretty big house in a wonderful neighborhood. I was a pre-k teacher. I got laid off a few mnths ago and have been tring to find a job any where but have had no luck. I have 3 children and now I am loosing my home. I have to be moved out in 2 weeks or they will come and move my stuff out for me in the road. I don't have anywhere to go, no one to turn to. I am going to have to send my kids to live with someone else while I get back on my feet. I have to try to sell all of my belongings to get money to put the rest in storage. I am heart broken and I can't believe this has even happening. I am a hard worker and I have always worked I'm not a lazy person.
