Many people want to know what the evidence against global warming is.

The common man walking down the street may be ignorant of global warming but surely he is not ignorant of the consequences of global warming. It is felt by all of us all around the world. Temperatures are rising tremendously rains are slaughtering the fields like anything and what more the levels of the seas and oceans is rising. Even in US where people are said to be blessed with good climate the adversity of climate change can be felt very evidently.

The temperature all around the word has increased by about one degree Fahrenheit in the last hundred years. The US is the largest contributor to this devastating state of matters. It contributes the most to air pollution and heat trapping gas production which are all related directly to global warming. It will all ultimately lead to very high temperatures and it has been scientifically claimed that temperature is going to rise in the state of California by about 4.7 to 10.5 degree Fahrenheit in this century in itself. If now at this state of affairs the emissions and pollution is entirely cut down on immediately the rise in temperature may be contained to 3 to 5.6 degree Fahrenheit. Not only this but places of important agricultural produce like the San Joaquin Valley and Sierra Nevada will also be harmed. The southern parts of Fresno receive at present a total of 20.32 cm of rain and they basically depend on the melting of the Nevada snow caps for their water supply. Trouble is that with the rate in which the temperature is rising the melting will now occur at a larger rate and hence may lead to flooding of the entire area due to lack of contention of the waters. This will give rise to a loss of $32 billion in the agricultural industry itself and is surely not desirable at any rate. In fact 50% of fruit and vegetable supply of the US will be stagnated for a prolong period of time. Further leaving these dryer parts alone if we move to the parts in the north like Stockton and Sacramento then their risk of being flooded is larger. Sea water entering their territories would hamper agriculture thriving on fresh water. Imagine what a great loss that would be to the country.

This bit of information will surely be a painful one and one that will raise the necessity of controlling our global warming crisis but worst of all is the realization that we are the ones who have welcomed this calamity onto our heads and are now trying to control it to the best of our capacity. But it is no situation to be made fun of or taken lightly. The state leaders are doing what ever they can by imposing laws to cut the production of greenhouse gases the rest is still to happen.
