For this, you have to depend on a balanced diet as well as proper exercises.

It is difficult to lose weight through a diet alone because it is virtually impossible to have a full stomach if you have to count calories stringently. Even if you succeed for a limited period of time, there will come a point of time when you feel the desire to eat something extra. Exercises help you burn extra calories fast. It is the best way to manage your calorie count effectively.

Daily exercises boost your metabolism. Most people who are overweight suffer from a sluggish metabolism. Fast foods, the lack of physical activity and constant diets slowdown your metabolism greatly. A balanced, healthy food intake will help stabilize your metabolism. However, you can boost it tremendously by working out regularly.

Exercise also has another beneficial effect for the weight watcher. A sufficiently high intensity of exercise releases endorphins in the body. This de-stresses you and makes you feel good. Additionally, it also curbs your appetite. By exercising regularly, you will overcome the desire to overeat unnecessarily.

There are two kinds of exercises. High intensity and low-intensity. Experts recommend 30-45 minutes of low-intensity exercises five times a week for effective weight loss to take place. However, many people find it difficult to spend such a lot of time on exercises. A more effective option is to choose high intensity exercises. Short periods of high intensity exercises help you burn more calories than long periods of low-intensity exercises. High intensity exercises also help your body burn calories even after the duration of the exercise. Thus they have a longer impact on your body.

As you can see, regular healthy eating and exercising are the pillars of good health and proper weight management. To lose weight and to keep excess weight off forever, you have to depend on both these tools.
