Exercising on a Trampoline
78Exercising on a trampoline is a sensible way to lose weight. A small trampoline, also known as a rebound trampoline, provides an effective “no impact” exercise, which is important for people with less mobility or that are undergoing rehabilitation. Exercising on a small trampoline is also known as rebounding.
Smaller trampolines, which are used for rehabilitation are not designed for high jumping in which causes less pressure on the joints during exercise. However, this type of exercise can be for anyone and shows very effective results. It is also a great cardio workout for people with joint damage that prevents them from running.
The main disadvantage of jogging is the physical stress it causes on
the bodies’ lower extremities. The “G” forces working can actually
quadruple a jogger’s weight factor. For instance, if a 150 pound person
was jogging, they can exert as much as 600 pounds of downward pressure
on weight bearing joints each time a step is taken.
Rebounding
can stimulate the flow of lymph fluid throughout the lymphatic system.
This allows greater blood flow and increases the amount of waste and
toxins flushed from the body. It has been found to enhance digestion,
nerve impulses, relaxation and muscle fiber for people who rebound at
least 4 times a week.
Exercising on a trampoline can increase
the metabolism, causing the body to burn more calories. It can also
lower a person's cholesterol and triglyceride levels. A reduction of
stress and tension and lower cholesterol levels are all wonderful
benefits of exercising on a trampoline.
Spending five to ten
minutes exercising on a trampoline is like running a mile. Most parts
of your body such as legs, thighs, hips and stomach are involved in
this workout.
The aerobics associated with jumping on a
trampoline strengthens the heart in the same way as other cardio
exercises such as running. In fact exercising on a trampoline has
actually been proven to be more effective than jogging. This type of
work out conditions and strengthens the heart within time, in which
causes the heart to beat less often, causing a stronger surge of blood
throughout the veins.
Rebounding is also known to
significantly reduce blood pressure. By boosting the muscle tone of the
middle arterial muscles this is achieved, in which causes improvements
to the circulatory system.
This type of exercise is known to
be a fantastic cardio workout. The increase in the cardio rate
encourages more energy use and weight loss. Other benefits of a fitness
trampoline include increased capacity of the lungs and breathing
improvements.
Many benefits come when a person uses a trampoline
for exercise, such as strengthening the glandular system increases the
capabilities of the thyroid gland in which helps fight fatigue.
Joint and pain relief has also been proven, because of the natural analgesic effect this type of exercise has on the body.
Another astonishing benefit about this type of exercise is that it can
improve your bone density. This type of improvement reduces the chance
of fractures and deformities associated with osteoporosis. Studies have
shown that people who are exercising on a trampoline at least three
times a week have a higher bone mineral count.
