Getting started with astronomy

Exploring the night sky is easy with a few basic tools. A star map and a telescope can help even the most novice astronomers find planets, nebulae, and star clusters. To get started with astronomy, it is not necessary to invest thousands of dollars into a top of the line telescope. Many of the less expensive models are more than powerful enough to reveal the four largest moons of Jupiter and the rings around Saturn.
