Teenage Anorexics

It seems as if looks are all that matter to people now a days. We can only be perfect in so many ways. If we don't have the perfect skin, the perfect body, the perfect hair there must be something wrong with us. The biggest thing teens have a problem with is their body weight. All teens try and look like the girl in a magazine. They die to be thin to where they stop eating or throw everything up. They think as long as they have a dream body then nothing els like your health or how YOU feel matters anymore. Their mind starts playing games on them and no matter what, they begin to always see themselves as fat or not where they wanna be in life and soon become depressed. There are a few symptoms that occur during this bad habit.

  • Teenage girls bodies will act up and they may miss 2 or 3 monthly periods.
  • Teens will begin refusing to even look at food to avoid the temptation, or just begin to not want food anymore.
  • They will go through anxiety attacks, start feeling weak emotionally and physically, get brittle skin, which is also known as lethal syndrome.
  • They will be short on breaths and constantly counting the calories they take in and try not eating more then 800/2400 calories a day or even a week.

Teens who are anorexic often end up at the doctors monthly or even at the hospital. They end up with shrunken bones, low body temperature, and soon a permanent end to body and brain growth. Anorexia teens are the ones who have extreme weight loss. Extreme weight loss is about 15-20% under normal weight. They are very skinny but they still seem to see themselves as too fat. When they workout they triple the amount that they can handle. they take pills that make you lose weight and many more. They have a high chance of getting very sick or even close to death. There are so many troubled teens out in this world that need our help. Anorexics don't understand the danger they are putting themselves into.

loss of pregnancy
Most anorexic teens will grow up and find out he is not able to conceive a child and she can not carry a pregnancy through full term. There are many miscarriages if you are considered anorexic. The ones that get through the pregnancy often have premature unhealthy babies. Babies that are to small or have a hard time breathing after being born. you may even lose your baby in the delivery room or a couple weeks after birth. Premature babies are often left at risk for several medical problems down the road.

overcoming anorexia
Many anorexics can overcome this problem. This kind of situation is very scary. But it continues to happen through the country. Teens who are are trying to overcome this hard battle in life often need special care. They might need to start taking pills that now add on pounds instead of minus body weight. That's not all that they will need. More then most start going to therapy and doctor appointments. The therapists for anorexia give them scheduled eating times and a goal for them to get to. They will talk to them and get them to feel good about themselves gaining weight, and know that, they are going to now be helping themselves feel better and healthier then try and make other people feel good no matter how you feel. Focusing now on what you want in life and not what other people want from you. Teens overcoming this have a really hard time and slowly gain on weight with the help of medical assistance. The response i read from teens who have overcome this situation often say how hard it was but how good they felt finally being able to eat whenever they were hungry but also stay healthy on a certain level. I guarantee you will like the feeling of being full instead of feeling sick and hungry. It may take 10 months maybe more. Just know that you will feel and look 100% better and a lot more confident then you think you will if you just start focusing on you and not on others.

What's wrong with this picture?

This is an idea of what anorexics see themselves as when they look into a mirror but what we see is something totally different. they look sick and extremely thin in our eyes.
