1. Wounds and blows in the eyes: If there is a wound in the cornea these may become infected. To prevent this, immediately give the person tablets of Bee Propolis and garlic food supplement. If the eyes has been hit or punched and the cornea or the conjunctiva are filled with blood, it may be dangerous and the person might lose eye. It is recommended to see physician.

Treatment: Put 2 drops of aloe vera extract undiluted with boiled water. The eyes should be covered with a patch. It must remain immobile.

If the pain increases it indicates that the pressure in the eye is increasing (glaucoma). Take the person immediately to a specialist otherwise, the problem may become severe and he or she may lose the eye.

2. Conjunctivitis (pink eye): One or both the eyes may be affected by this infection which is evidenced by itching, red eyes, pus, and excessive discharge mainly during the morning.

Treatment: Clean the eyes by putting drops of purified water, about 3 tablespoon to completely wash the eyes. Then put 2 drops of aloe vera extract in eyes. Repeat this every 4hours until the problem disappears. Consult physician.

3. Glaucoma: Is a result of high pressure inside the eye. It normally occurs in adults. There are two types of glaucoma:

  • Acute Glaucoma is when there is suddenly a strong pain inside the eye. Vision become cloudy and the eye turns red. The pupil of the affected eye become larger than the one of the good eye and the eye feels very hard to the touch. If the pain does not stop within 24hours, seek an opthalmologist's help. Surgery may be required in order to drain the eye and relieve the pressure.
  • Chronic glaucoma occurs slowly and its symptoms are: Gradual loss of eye sight usually affecting the peripheral vision first. This dangerous disorder which may cause blindness, therefore immediately medical care is recommended.

Causes: may be due to diabetes, arteriosclerosis or high blood pressure.

Treatment: Take high dosage of Vitamin C as well as consuming large amount grapes, lemons, apples and oranges. Avoiding any physical exertion is also recommended. An adequate diet is also recommended.

4. Sties: Swelling in the shape of a pimple which form mainly on the edges of the eyelids. Since it is infectious, it is recommended to submerge the eye are in a bowl with clean water and rotate your eye muscle while it is submerge to completely clean the eyes..

Treatment: Put aloe extract on the eyelid every 4 hours. Periodically cleaning the eyes with aloe vera extract will help prevent these and other infections.... continuation
