F150 Harley

Although the Ford F150 has been made since 1975 and due to the company still producing the F100 this particular truck was commonly referred to by Ford as the "Heavy Half Ton". But even though this truck has been around for more than 30 years now it wasn't until the late 1990's (1999) this motor company chose to produce the Ford Harley Davidson F150 truck.

Since it being first introduced the Ford Motor Company have now brought out several different models of this great looking vehicle. But everything that they have done on this model since it first appeared is that it resonates the heritage of the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Company. Below we take a look at the two latest versions of this truck, which are certainly going to be winners with both Ford and Harley Davidson enthusiasts alike.

1. The 2006 F150 Harley Supercab - A beautiful looking vehicle which provides the rough and ruggedness you expect from a Ford truck but with the added benefits of some beautiful custom detailing, such as you would see on a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The exterior of the vehicle monotone but comes with a custom scalloped red paint stripe running the complete length of the vehicle which is then further accentuated by electric blue. Along with this custom paintwork on the vehicle at set intervals along the vehicles belt line you will find the Harley Davidson script.

In order to provide the vehicle with a much more menancing look and bring it into line with the kinds of looks that Harley Davidson motorcycles have. Ford have chosen to provide it with a chrome billet grille, plus the headlamps and taillights have also been blacked out. Finally they have included highly polished 22 inch forged aluminum rims to further add to its menacing looks.

2. Ford Harley Davidson F150 Supercrew - Introduced to the motoring world in 2007 this vehicle not only comes with a monotone black exterior but also a dark amethyst one as well. But just like the 2006 Supercab this one comes with the 22 inch polished aluminum wheels and billet grille in chrome. Plus just like the Supercab the headlights and taillights have been blacked out once more and which are a standard feature to be found on these models of F150 trucks.

But the biggest difference you will find on this latest version of this vehicle is what is hidden under the hood. You now have the choice to go with an engine that has a super charger fitted to it and which would often normally be found on the Ford Shelby GT500. Adding this to the Harley Davidson enclosed with the engine space provides the vehicle with 450 break horsepower.

Along with all the normal refinements that Ford include in their vehicles they have added additions which make it almost feel as you riding on the open road on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

All the captains chairs in the vehicle are unique to the Ford F150 Harley Davidson and have the Harley Davidson bar and shield logo embedded into the leather used to cover them. Plus the use of chrome trimming inside the vehicle adds to its overall feel of being a custom-made vehicle rather than one that has come straight off a production line.
