FAITH VS GOOD WORKS

Faith is an action on the Word of God. I call it active faith. James said that by works one might show his or her faith. James meant works, which is a result of faith, which comes by hearing of the Word of God and not by anything else (religion or opinion and tradition).

Good work by itself is not necessarily always valid since works, which not related to the Word of God, can substitute it. The statement is true because people who are claiming that works are most important do not know the Word of God well. I really do not want to knock anyone down but I am stating the fact. One must ask how much daily time do we spent with the Word.  It is not a question to those who presume we judge, but that question is addressed especially to me since it is measure of how victorious I should be in my daily life. I have to spend time with Word of God, hearing the Word and also speak it aloud so I can hear myself.  Jesus went to lonely places at night and also before He started His ministry. He went to dessert and in the end was tested (tempted) and won.

Faith is the basic foundation of our house so-to-speak. On the top of the base is the superstructure, which is works and the fruit of the spirit, which includes love, joy, peace and so on (Galatians 5:22).

Since the most important thing is the Word of God, we must share the Word with others, and of course not in a forceful way. God does not like slaves but sons and daughters.

In conclusion: the priority is the Word of God, faith, love and then good works. Good works are important but must correlate with the Word of God.

Sciantel is correct faith without works is dead. How do you show your faith? By your works.

And works done without faith and for the real reason is invalid either. i.e. cain and his offering which was not accepted by the Lord. They go hand in hand, faith, love, works, and service.

Thanks for the hub Vladimir

Keep on hubbing!

eovery, thanks for your comment. I appreciate you.

Absolutely true. I only underlined priority. Not every work is right. People are not save and believe they can get away with good work. Religion is based also on work. It is easy for some to work instead of exercise the faith. Therefore work means faith in action. I mean Word of God in action. People without God can also have a good work. One may do good work but still could be illegal. :-).

It wasn't that God liked or even loved Cain less, his heart wasn't in it. It is our hearts that God sees and He can see us giving God our all, or only some of it. It does not work only giving half of ourselves. That is why faith with works connected is so important for the Christian today. To show others that they love God above all, and you will see this in their day to day living.

My point is: Wrong belief means wrong work. There is a purpose for everything. There is Word, then faith production, which uncover will of God. This is why priority is the faith. Can you see it?

I would like to see when people say: Lord show me and teach me what I need to know. But instead, they force their opinion, which is mind product.

Then there is blessing failure. Result is good test for right faith.
