FAKE PERFUMES ARE A HEALTH HAZARD

What do they put inside Counterfeit Perfume?
Most consumers are unaware of the potential health risks which come with purchasing a counterfeit perfume - or even that they've purchased a fake. Thesedays there are highly sophisticated knock-offs for sale - on the internet, at Markets and in Retail Stores. The problem is it's quite easy to be fooled into purchasing a fake. Some Pefumes, including their packaging look almost indistinguishable from the true Designer Brand Fragrances, and if they're offered at a bargain price - we go ahead and snap them up!
The legalities of the peddlers of these scams aside, it puts consumers at risk because fake perfumes have not been approved by Cosmetic Regulators. The have they not been put through rigorous testing, infact, while they may look almost identical to the real thing, they contain an entire blend of unknown chemical ingredients - which have not been proven safe to wear. This in turn creates 'unknown' health risks for the wearer of the counterfeit product, and those in their close company.
As humans we have sensitive skin, a sensitive sense of smell, and are sometimes prone to allergies and reactions to different chemicals. When you use Conterfeit Perfume products on your skin and breath them in, you cannot be certain that the ingredients mixed inside the pretty Designer packaging are safe.
You could experience side-effects such as:
- Headaches and Migranes
- Sinus problems
- Itching
- A rash
- Burns to your skin
- Stained clothing
- Respiratory problems
Also beware that some Counterfeit Perfume products have allegedly previously been known to contain Urine (to get that yellow colour perfume look) or fragrance mixed just with water (And since you don't know where it's been manufactured consider that some countries have problems with water contamination).
To top it all off, if you've purchased a fake perfume, it's unlikely that the scent of the fragrance will stick around for more than an hour, unlike the true Designer Products fragrance which endures with beatufiful scented under-tones.
So how do you spot a Designer Fake?
Since counterfeiters are capable of producing almost identical looking replicas of all of the Designer Brand Perfumes and their packaging, the best way to avoid buying a fake is by purchasing your perfume from a reputable Cosmetics retailer, especially if you're buying online StrawberryNET.com is one such reputable online Cosmetics store, with the added benefits not only of cheap prices and freebee's but they will mail your Perfume to you FREE anywhere in the world, and the site will translate into your language and Currency, so you don't get any nasty surprises!
But, if you're trying to grab a bargain perfume online from Ebay, it may be another story all together. You can't even be sure that the photo of the item isn't just copied from someone elses online photo of your favourite Desiger Perfume! This is why eBay has a hard time keeping track of all of these type of Scammers. Before you bid check the location of the Seller - be wary if they are listing a whole lot of the same product, at heavily discounted prices, especially from Asian countries - If it seems too good to be true, it probably is! Also read the Sellers Feedback Profile for comments left by prior customers, and if you decide to purchase the item remember that you may be doing it at some risk.
While Counterfeiters make every effort to make their product appear to be the Authentic Item (they may even tell you straight out that it is) Here's some tips for spotting a fake:
- Does it smell like the authentic item?
- Are the trade-marks present in the right places?
- Are the colours used on the packaging an absolute match with the authentic item?
- Is the box flimsy?
- Does the box have the 'inner lining' you'd expect with the authentic item?
- Does the cap fit perfectly on the bottle?
- Is there absolute clarity in the liquid inside? (with no floating bits)
- Is the sprayer a match with the stem?
- Does the label on the bottle easily slide off?
Try comparing the product with the exact Authentic Designer Brand Perfume. If you don't already have it at home seek out photos of it online here: All major brands of skincare and makeup, with free worldwide shipping, from StrawberryNET.com and you may see some details about the product which do not quite match.
Buying and receiving a Designer Brand Perfume is a luxury for a woman, and shouldn't be spoilt by any unwanted hidden surprises, including unforseen health hazards. If the Authentic Perfume you desire is out of your price range, rather than knowingly purchasing a counterfeit product, try an alternative such as creating your own fragrances with Aromatherapy blends of essential oils. At least that way you know what you're putting on your skin.
