The word 'Fantasy' covers many genres.  It is any form of art that uses magic and other supernatural forms as an essential element or device  of the plot, theme, and/or setting. Fantasy is not really the same as sci-fi being distinguished from science fiction and horror by the fact that it refrains from using   technological and macabre themes, however  there is a great deal of overlap between the three genres. (together known as speculative fiction).
