FIRST TESTAMENT---The Stones of Knowing
First Testament---The
Stones of Knowing presents a collection of relatively new,
alternative thoughts on how the solar system, contemporary western religions,
and even human life as we know it have come to be. Although the book is
put forth utilizing a fictional plot, much of the information presented is
based on actual archeological and historical facts. The book
centers around the ancient Sumerian culture, the oldest known advanced
civilization on Earth to date. The Sumerian civilization first appeared
in ancient Mesopotamia, specifically the
area around what is now southern Iraq,
at about 3800 BCE, pre-dating the Egyptian pharaonic culture by
about 600 years. Many of the world's "firsts", such as
the wheel, codes of law, even beer that are often erroneously attributed to
other cultures, were actually Sumerian originals. Their pantheon of gods
and the stories concerning them were the basis for Judaic, Islamic, and even Christian
religions.
The book is actually comprised of two smaller "books". The
first part, which is entitled The
Stones, tells the story of three scholars on a quest for ancient
truth. An anthropologist, a geologist, and a sci-fi/alternative history
writer join forces to decipher an ancient Sumerian clay tablet which contains
information on how to unlock fantastic secrets of the past. Their search
eventually leads them to the Great Pyramid at Giza,
a monument they have discovered is actually a portal to ancient truths.
Their journey is constantly threatened by a radical Islamic Jihadist group bent
on preventing their success.
The second part, The Knowing, is
an account of the ancient history of the Sumerian gods---the Anunnaki---and
the knowledge they had ingeniously secured for mankind to eventually
discover. After re-activating the pyramid and through a process involving
vibrational harmonic transference (VHT), the three explorers are almost
instantaneously endowed with the true history of the Earth. The knowledge
includes information concerning the birth of the solar system, the creation of
Man, the true architects of the pyramids, the upheavaling of Sodom
and Gormorrah, even the true parentage of Jesus himself. It is a
culmination of scientific knowledge going back to the Big Bang, and a history
of the activities of the Anunnaki on Earth from some 450,000
years ago until the time of Christ.
The Epilogue finally brings both books together. The dissemination of
this knowledge to the rest of the world brings about an enlightened
understanding of our place in the cosmos for the entire population of Earth,
marking the beginning of a new age for humankind. The time the world receives
this rapture....December 21st,
2012.

Hi, onthewriteside I can't help but be struck by the fact that your "Novel" outline so closely follows the published information on the subject matter.Personaly I tend to believe much of that information for just the reasons an anthropologist , geologist, and Archeologist, and other scientists such as geneologists would have to say on the subject matter. You may bring the subject matter to the forefront of the consciousness of the masses.I find it Interesting that you should pick that subject matter for your Novel as you don't seem to believe the subject matter to be truthful to some extent ! I'm posting some links here .I'm curious what your reaction to them! http://alternativespirituality.suite101.com/articl http://www.intuitive-connections.net/2006/book-god http://www.meru.org/Press/Atlantisrising.html http://www.kryon.com/seminar%20images/DNA%20page/D http://alienswelcome.com http://worldcouncilofelders.org/ http://www.serpentsofwisdom.com/ NEW MESSAGE FROM GOD http://www.newmessage.org/ THE BLUEBEAM PROJECT TO DECIEVE MANKIND http://www.thewatcherfiles.com/bluebeam.htm BIBLE CODE ON THE ANNUNAKI http://www.thewatcherfiles.com/annunaki.html
How very interesting. I think I detect a bit of a strain from Fingerprints of the Gods in that.
someonewhoknows,
Thanks for your comment! Yes, you are correct that I present a great deal of actual research in the novel. In fact the main character, Jean Rodenbaie (the writer/historian), is a huge proponent of Zecharia Sitchin's theories, and Sitchin's ideas are cited throughout much of the book. The "Knowing" section of the novel presents ideas with roots in a combination of sources including mainstream science, fringe science and new age stuff. The reason I decided on a fictional format for the book is that I felt it was probably a better way to get some of the "alternative" stuff in front of more people. It isn't that I necessarily "believe or don't believe" in some of the alternative theories out there, I just felt that a lot of it deserves more attention than it may currently be receiving, and so...the book!
ledefense,
Some of the "evidence" presented in The Fingerprints of the Gods is presented in the book, but a great deal of what Graham Hancock presents in that book is not original. I think that book was published back in the '90's, and Sitchin had put forth a lot of the same ideas a decade or two before. But you are correct, I do build on ideas put forth by both of these guys as well as others! Thanks for the comment!
Sounds like a very interesting read - don't forget to post the links when it comes out!
(and if you are ever in the market for a really excellent editor with very reasonable rates, check out RedElf Editing - is also on hubpages as RedElf ;) just tell her I sent you LOL! (couldn't resist that line LOL)
Thanks Enelle! And I will most certainly have a link up when it comes out! I may just be taking you up on the editing link down the road as well! Thanks!
Sounds like an interesting book! I'll be sure to check it out (I know I already asked about the book on the forums, but I'm still knew to this HubPages thing!). I'm currently writing my first novel...and it's more a playful fantasy.
Nice to see that you attribute the year 2012 as a time of rebirth instead of a year of destruction as so many other people do. The world didn't end in 1999, it didn't end in 2000, and it didn't end on June 6, 2006. Which either means that this whole end of the world thing is bunk, or God is really bad at numerology. ;)

This is an intriguing summary of your book. Why doesn't an Amazon.com ad for FIRST TESTAMENT appear on this page? Wouldn't that be the most efficient way to market it?
