FOR NFL DRAFT, THE BIGGEST XXXXXXXL SLEEPER WALTER THOMAS
69Walter Thomas
Walter Thomas, a 6 foot 5, 370-pound football draft pick can do a perfect forward flip which causes the ground to tremble when he lands, bench press 475 pounds and run the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds, faster than some NFL tight ends. Here's a story from the NYTimes 4-25 on Mr. Thomas--

Thanks, Paul! Times really change. When I was a kid our next door neighbor was LSU line coach Clarence "Pop" Strange. If my memory is correct he was an all-American tackle for LSU during the thirties at 185 pounds.
And BTW, I really like the new look and new features. Now at least the "adult" stuff doesn't hit everybody in the face scrolling through the new hubs.
Glad you like the new site. I'll pass this to Paul D. He was in charge of it. Have you tried the new photo capsule yet. It will work well for one of your photo Hubs.
I wonder if a 185 lbs was considered large at the time? Or was speed considered more important?

Oh my god, this guy is a monster. Geez. It will be interesting to see where he goes. He'd be a perfect Raider. I love stories like this. Thanks for posting.
