I have found a number of useful items on the internet that are really free. Some of them do have advertisements on the page and, if you click on those, you might end up buying something, but the original item is still free. http://www.thefreelibrary.com/ The Free Library has thousands and thousands of articles on a lot of subjects. i.e. business, communications, entertainment, automobiles, pets, news, hobbies, health, law, science.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page/ Wikipedia is a free encyclopedia that contains a wealth of information on many topics. They do request donations but there is no charge to use it.

http://www.encyclopedia.com/ This site gives you information from several different sources.

http://encarta.msn.com/ Has an encyclopedia, a dictionary, atlas, teacher resources, tutoring, literature guides, and homework starters.

http://www.questia.com/library/encyclopedia/ is another free encyclopedia. It does have links to a premium reference library with books and other items for sale.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/dictionary.htm The Free Library has a free dictionary and thesaurus.

http://www.answers.com/ is another free encyclopedia which has a lot of resources on animals, business, finance, marketing, entertainment, music, films, opera, card games, a diet guide, fitness section, food and nutrition section, recipes, nutritional values, medical encyclopedia, history, home and garden, and religion.
