Yes you can, don’t let anyone else tell you otherwise! It’s certainly a very real possibility. I’ve done it and I am completely self taught! Never worked in a bank and never set foot on the trading floor, except for a trip as a tourist.

Of course, I am not the person who gives up easily. I worked hard at getting to the level where I am, but more importantly I was humble and willing to take advice from other more experienced traders.

What really helped me staring out was seeking and finding mentors to teach me. Some did it out of their good heart and others took a fee. I have to stress the importance of taking a forex course if you want to succeed in fx day trading. You absolutely NEED a forex system, a methodology that you can grow it and learn from. I would also advise against any form of automated system. They can’t beat a real human trader.

What personal traits do you need to succeed? Some basic technical skills and math knowledge won’t hurt, yet it’s really not the most important. Drive, determination, killer instinct and a little bit of greed is what’s needed to win in this game. Do you have it? If you do, get of your ass, get a good fx day trading system and read, study, then read some more. Don’t quit on the first losing trade. Don’t chicken out. Keep at it and you’ll get there!
