This is a pretty short and sweet, yet - I think - useful hub.

Bruce Springsteen is about to embark on a world tour in support of his latest record, Working on a Dream.  While individual seats and some pairs in less than desirable seating locations can still be had for most shows, tickets can be tough to come by for a couple reasons.  First, Bruce is traditionally a tough ticket.  And two, the media hype he generated ahead of the on-sale date is unprecedented for Springsteen.

But... if you want a good cheap there is no reason to go to a ticket broker and pay outrageous prices.  There are other options.

One way to get a good seat (or General Admission ticket) at face value is keep checking in to the Ticketmaster Website and trying for one.  Right up until the day of the show tickets are released.  You are taking your chances with this method and going for a sole ticket, not always a viable option, increases your chances, but it has worked repeatedly for countless fans.  Even riskier - Springsteen is known to do 'drop lines' at the show, where on the day of the concert fans can line up at the arena and get a ticket released that day.

For a more sure shot at face value tickets for the tour, just go to one of the two best Springsteen fan sites on the web - Greasylake.org or Backstreets.com - and sign up to be a member of their message board forums.  Make some posts, be nice, get to know people, so you are a 'real fan,' and your request for a good seat at a good show will typically come through for you.  Most Springsteen fans at these sites are generous, especially to fellow diehards, and are opposed to ticket scalping.
