Be Best At Your Interview-Especially Negotiations

Nothing confuses a man more than facing interviews and choosing a right tie-up (negotiations in salaries) with the recruiters. Here are a few tips that might help you get best deal at your interview:

1. Never shy away from asking the amount of money that you think you deserve. Even if it is your first job, make sure your aren't underpaid. Learn about the kind of starting salaries you get in your chosen profession.

2. When you are preparing for a job interview, make sure you think about money. Ask your friends and colleagues about what a good deal should be. If you have experience, don't hesitate to demand your right price.

3. Remember to bargain hard for your salary, for in the next couple of years your increment will be an average 12-16 per cent, which isn't much at all.

4. Leave salary expectations bland on an interview form. The interviewer should not be able to read your expectations. It is a smarter idea to let your interviewer mention a figure.

5. If you have enough experience, stick to the money that you have asked for. The interviewer will always ask if it's negotiable. Do not fall into that trap. The word negotiable only matters if it's your first job; from your second job onwards, you must demand your terms.

I don't think bargaining at the interview works. I have a fatal experience for this part.

I agree Vamsi because when a person is bargaining at the interview, it looks like he/she is begging for the job. It is better to improve your interview skills so much that the employer has no option to negotiate and you can land up to a job at your price.
