So What?
Of course, we always think the bad things are going to happen to others, not to us. So, despite the odds we keep smoking. Look, it's easier to fool yourself than to take the kind of action required to quit smoking.
But what you need to do is to quit!

What you need is a way to quit that works for you.
There are several paths to choose. You can try nicotine replacement, cold-turkey, hypnosis, laser treatment, or drugs such as Chantix. There are dozens of books written about quitting smoking. Joining a groups is a good idea.
I've written a book detailing my father's remarkable method for quitting smoking, called The Harold Cole Method.
What's great about Dad's method is it almost completely avoids those awful withdrawal symptoms.
Whatever you do, do something! You owe it to yourself and to your loved ones.
