How to make fake blood this Halloween

Really Folks, what's a good Halloween costume minus lashings of fun fake blood? We've all seen endless horror movies filled with blood spraying in all directions, but when you are not on a movie shoot, how can you make safe, inexpensive fake blood for your own use at Halloween parties?

These are some strategies on making realistic looking fake blood that's safe for use by every age group. Just be warned- fake blood might stain!

The fake blood method here is excellent for using as part of a Halloween costume or make-up effect, but due to its viscous and untidy nature, great care must be taken to make sure that everything in the house isn't covered in fake blood!

Before you make any fake blood, first you have to set up a well-covered work space on a flat surface. Lay down some old newspaper or similar covering to make sure you catch any splashes while making your gore.

The easiest method of going about making fake blood for Halloween outfits is by combining corn syrup with some red food colour. Once gently mixed together, putting in more of the colour as you go along with it, this makes for a very convincing fake blood without a large amount of effort.

Add in a touch of black food colour, or indeed blue, to add that extra bit of fact to the fake blood you are making.

A more complicated method of this fake blood recipe is to put in a thickener, such as an amount of plain flour or similar safe substance. Keep stirring till the required consistency is achieved. Be warned, this could lead to some lumps to be made, but these are simply taken out.

Another level of fake blood and gore could be achieved by adding wadded up paper towels or bathroom tissue to the mixture. Simply add a couple, and while you add the soft paper matter into your fake blood mix, it'll create all manner of gory looking globs and lengths of terror that are sure to look wonderful as a part of your Halloween costume.

Just keep in mind that when you're making your fake blood- keep safe and clean, and make sure you take important measures to keep your place clean while you make your fake blood and nastiness for the ultimate in Halloween shenanigans!
