Loose curls and waves
Loose curls and waves are a casual hairstyle that's really hot!
An easy way to create this look:
Braid hair in 2 loose braids while hair is still damp and then let it dry overnight. Carefully take braids out in the morning and don’t brush out.
Finish this look with a shine spray product.
Another way to create this look:
1.Use a 2 1/4″ curling iron
2.Hold the curling iron so that the end is pointing downward.
3.Wrap a small 1'' section of your hair around the barrel of the curling iron. Don't use the clamp, because you don’t want tight curls, just waves.
4Leave hair wrapped around barrel for 10-20 seconds or till your hair is slightly curled.
5.When hair cools off, tug at the end of each ringlet until they loosen up and look naturally curly. You may want to start with the underneath hairs in the back until you get the hang of this technique.
6.Lightly mist with a light hold anti-humidity hairspray.

Farouk CHI GF1022 2 in 1 Ceramic Auto Digital 1-1/4" Curling & 1" Flat Iron with GFI plug
By Sue Ellen Blackman:
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she absolutely loves it. It gets hot very quickly and it curls and/or flattens beautifully leaving hair shiny and smooth. I have very curly and at times frizzy hair and usually use my own flattener or curling iron but wanted to try hers. The difference I saw in my hair led me to sneak into her room every morning and steal it to do my hair before work. After doing this off and on for two months, I am buying my own finally. I've used many brands of flatteners and curling irons but I'm not sure what it is about this one, it's just something you have to try to see the difference. P.S. my daughter and I both have medium to long hair if that makes a difference, but we each have layers/bangs in the front and have no issues at all using it

Chignon
The Chignon
Off-center chignons worn in a structured side bun is a beautiful work of art! In short a chignon is a bun. It can be worn tight or loose for a soft feminine look,(I prefer the softer and loosly though) Most anyone can do this hairstyle in literaly seconds, leaving you looking beautifuly styled up and more time for your day!
Here's how to do a chignon:
1.Put hair in a ponytail, at level desired high or low.
2. Twist hair
3. Hold it at its twisted state
4. Wrap it around the base of your ponytail.
The ponytail can be tight or loose, depending on the look you are going for.I love this look when it is worn loosely then back-combed with a little texurizing mousse a gorgeous feminine chignon.
5. Secure it in place with another 'elastic' for tightness or bobby pins for a softer look adjusting and placing them accordingly.
6.Now dress your chignon up with hair accessories like feathers, sticks,jewels....
Wear it to work,play,day off,everyday,even a wedding!!

Ponytail
Versatile!
Many ways and many forms, ponytails truly are a Classic!
Wear it around the house to an elegant night out!
Mix it with braids or waves!
Here's my favorite way to wear it:(I call it 'The Pony Bump').
1.After Shampooing and conditioning
2.Apply a texturizing mousse
3.Blow dry straight with round brush(for body and curve)
4.With fingers, loosley gather all of hair at the occipital bone area.
5. Place hair in a loose ponytail through an 'elastic'
6.Before making the ponytail tight ,grab a small amount at each side of the ponytail (at base where elastic is)with both hands(left hand at left side and right hand at right side)
7.Now at the same time that you pull the strands away from each other, gently pull up.*(look at example)
This will cause the Bump in the pony tail.
Previous backcombing will help in obtaining a higher bump.
8.Lightly Spray all over with a light hairspray
9.Spray on spray shine.
Milkmaid Braid(dated but explainable)
Braids
Milkmaid braids are sexy and versatile. Not to mention cute flirtatious!
We sure saw celebrities styling up in them this year!
Perfect style for getting long hair up and out of your face.
Do this easy style yourself!
1.After shampooing and conditioning.
2.Lightly towel dry and apply a smoothing anti-friz serum to control frizz and prevent flyaways.
3.With a comb part hair down the center and blow dry hair straight with a hair dryer.
4.Part hair again, where desired creating two separate pieces on either side of your head.(leaving wispies out;optional)
5.Secure each side just behind ears.
6.Braid each side, careful not to do this too loose or too tight.
7.Bring both braids up and over your head properly fashioning them then secure with bobby pins.
8.'Elastic' should obviosly not be showig.
9.Secure either sides with bobby pins so they won’t come loose.
10.Spray with an anti-humidity hair spray (all over),this helps with frizz.
