No doubt Fallout 3 is one of the highly anticipated games of 2008. This time roundm not nly graphics, but the overall gameplay has gotten a major boost. Beautiful graphics, and lots of new ingame features such as 1st person and 3rd person perspective.

Fallout 3 has an expected release date in North America of October 7th, HOWEVER it has now got a release date of October 16th for Canada. No idea why the later release for us in canuck country.

As usual, stores are giving away some col swag for the pre-orders. Gamestop is giving away a Fallout 3 poster, and a soundtrack cd with 5 of the songs from the game remixed. Here in Canada EB games should be ( hopefully ) honouring the same deal. As for swag from other stores like Toys R Us and Best Buy, it depends on the store and what the deal is with the suppliers.

Everyone loves a little extra bang for their buck. The regular P.C Version should be retailing for about $59.99 CAD and $64.99 CAD for X-Box. The Special edition has no set price yet but your probably looking at around $100- $120.

As an artist I'd buy it for the art alone, I've seen some of the prelim stuff online and as a digital art lover and creator the book is a must have. The tin, eh, nice collectors item ;)

If you go to the official site, bethsoft has some really cool downloads for you to enjoy such as trailors, more screenshots,avatars, music and really cool backgrounds for your desktop. Anything to keep the hype going.

Note that the special edition X-Box and special edition P.C will be coming out with different special edition items, so if you are a hardcore fan and must have everything you can get your paws on you will probably have to end up buying both editions. Because of the engine used to create this game, it may not be playable on your highest settings if you have a cheap graphics card, so to enjoy your game to the max, you may want to think about doing a little upgrading before the game is released.
