Family Values

A genius brought it to my attention today how fortunate America is to have such wise and moral people leading us in the Democratic Party. How the Republicans are to busy preaching family values, while encouraging their kids to have sex, ( He was referring to Palin). I wasn't aware that she had actually encouraged her daughter to get pregnant. But if the Democrats think that everything our kids do is because of direct encouragement from us, well then this sheds a whole new light on things. Things I guess I was never aware of before. So it got me to thinking, and maybe they are right. Maybe I have been looking at his thing all wrong.

So, Thank God we have been so blessed to have such great role models and family values from the "progressives". I am trying so hard to model my life after the values they have given us. I try to teach my children these values every day. Yes I look at Bill Clinton---the model family man. So I have requested a young intern to work at my office this Summer, I only hope I can impart the same wisdom and fatherly advice on my intern as Bill did for his intern. Then there is the great lessons for the children, let's see, Joe Biden's kid has been a drug user, so he must have encouraged it. Why else would such a great moral intelligent person have a kid that used drugs if not encouraged as part of his family value plan?

My kids will be glad to hear I am moving away from that foolish just Say No Policy. It's to much work anyway trying to preach that stuff all the time

Then there is the great lessons to be learned from Gov. Blagojevich, a true leader, why he must be, didn't he just get his own show Blagovivch Superstar? I will try to model my business behavior after his leadership. I will sell promotions to members of our staff. Why didn't I think of this before?? Staff manager goes to the highest bidder. Do I have to pay taxes on that money? Apparently not if I follow the moral example of any number of Obama appointees. They under stand that paying taxes is for losers. Why it must be true, because look at Tim Geitner, he gets to be Treasury Secretary and "fix" the economy. Wow!!

That was a good one Mr. Obama--"fix" the economy, I get it like the fix is in for all those loser tax payers.

I should have noticed this long ago, how could I have been so blind?

I had example after example set for me right in my own backyard and I was blind to it. Talk about not being able to see the forest for the trees. Why my own state of MA has just had the third Speaker of the House indicted.

The first two were rewarded following their indictments, Bulger getting appointed as the President of the Univ. of MA. (think of what an edge those students had, learning the Progressive values from the best himself).

The there was Finnernan, he was indicted for obstruction of justice, (he only redistricted to make sure he had a white majority to keep his seat). But he got his reward, no jail time and is now a morning drive talk host on the biggest talk station in Boston. Yup, the "Progressives have figured this thing out. Now it's the third Speaker's turn, Speaker DaMasi. Just indicted last week. It's a shame they have to wait for these foolish trials to end. Can't they just give him his reward now?

I tell you these "Progressives" have really helped me to see my wayward ways. To think for years I paid taxes, preached no drugs, no sex and work values to my kids. I even went to church on Sunday and listened to the priest preach love and forgiveness. What was I thinking?? The kind of church that the "Progressives" go to sounds so much more fun. Screaming about America's Chickens have come to Roost, and forget that boring God Bless America crap, no that rant about "God Dam America" is so exciting. I can not wait to find a church like this in my area. My kids are going to get a real kick out of this, they will never tell me church is boring again. I hope the church I find has a preacher screaming about Jews and Zion's keeping control of the President. I can't wait to stand and scream along with him.

I wonder if my wife was ever proud of America, hmmmmmm
I hope my intern wears a blue dress too.

Hi shark, it scares me to hear some of the things we have to deal with these days. It is always very easy for some 'so called people' to point fingers at others. However, as my mother alway says, when you point a finger at somebody, remember that the other four are pointing at you. I am no trying to be biblical, but the bible says it so well..'remove the log in your eye, before you try to remove the peck in your brother's eye'

Hi, this hu responded to a log that someone hurled at the Republican party as being imoral leaders. So through satire I thought the libs could do some self examining. We are in trouble because there is very little reasoning on issues from the left. I'm not even referring to lefty politicians, I mean lefty citizens. Our government schools have turned into union shops turning out armies of liberals. Why do you think they oppose educational vouchers? And they say we dont manufature things in this country anymore---HA, Right!

Bernie, you are right on. When I was in elemntary school, and I went to Government schools, the class was opened every day with two things, one the Pledge of Allegence and two a reading from the old testament. We were none the worse for it. But today God can't be even mentioned in the schools without someone claiming they were offended. Even at graduations, class valedictorians are not alloweded to mention God in a speech. Yet they invite scum like Bill Ayers to speak his trash and hatred. They claim seperation of church....exactly what church or religion does God belong to??

VP Cheney and his wife spent months touring National Monuments for a book and video they were working on. Cheney said if the people of America thought God didn't belong anywhere in the town square or our political life, they sure had a funny way of showing it, seeing as God is mentioned in almost every monument. Thank "God" we had a "man" like U S Grant in the White House that had the foresight to make Christmas a federal holiday, other wise today the lefties would have driven any mention of Christmas from our public life. I am sure that as I write there is some lefty group pushing to get Christmas off of the federal holiday list. This would be the same groups offended by our money which reads, "In God We Trust". So I wonder if they refuse to cash their paycheks so as not to be offended with that terrible saying in their walletts????

Dear Shark, I believe we're on the run. We didn't take care of our base. So now the soup is better at someone elses house. Most people will follow what suits them best and the trickle down economics doesn't work for most. I want God apart of everyones life not just conservatives. Even if that includes people I don't agree with. On the other hand, I don't believe we should rewrite the Bible to be more inclusive. If you sin or your action is sinfull take the hit! Don't be a cry baby you know the rules.Children are the ones who believe the world revolves around them which would show some people have developmental issues. You must love your neighbor not his sin. I think it would be a crime to erase God from our country and it would only mean the divide is larger. But we must admit fault with our me, me ,me economics policy. How much do you need? Its your right to be as successful as you can but if your that good why not remember the ones who helped get you there? We weren't paying attention to our base and we lost control. They got scared and wanted security not just survival. Peace.

Disagree with your comments on trickle down economics. Lower taxes to a corp. gives them more money to spend on product development and advertising. Better and more products create more jobs, create more tax payers, create more revenue to the treasury. We saw it in the 80's with the Carter bail out. Regan's cutting of both personal and corp. taxed led to unprecedented collections by the treasury dept. That is verifiable, just go to any macro econimics chart.

As for the base, I guess it depends on what your definition of "lost" means. Because I don't believe we lost the base because they voted for Obama, rather they just didn't show up to vote due to a RINO candidate. (republican in name only). So the 2010 election for the house should be interesting.

As for how much do we need? America puts no caps on success, only communism does that. So that question can only be answered on an individual basis. I guess I would start with Alex Rodriguex....lol

Hey Shark - you scored another hit! It really scares me, the "product" our schools are producing. But you know, schools have gotten worse and worse and kids really do want to know things. And they're not getting it from the schools. Kids see through things too, and they're going to figure out, when they finally get old enough, that everything "school" stands for is just hooey. I know, I went to school 35 years ago and I thought so then. Yeah, there are always going to be those that never get it, but the example set by the libs is in the gutter for all their high-toned rhetoric. So I put my faith in the kids.

Hi X, the problem is when you were in school 35 years ago your teachers were form the WWII generation. Unfortunately the last 30 years schools have been run by the "Love and Peace" generation and now their children. These people are the "America is the Problem" generation. How does a school project titled "How Freedom Holds You Back" sound?  Not kidding!  The schools today spend more time socializing kids and "celebrating" diversity then they do teaching them.

Good job on the research, Shark. Although i competely agree with everything you said, its also true that plenty of Republicans are morally bankrupt as well. That's why we have to take over the Republican party and give it some real leaders!

The Shark profile image

The Shark  says:

I agree, yesterday the RINO, McCain, said Obama is doing a "good job". That's why he lost the election, and it looks as though a Republican may take him on in his own primary next year. Time to cleanse the party, but make no mistake, even with a weak Republican in office we always get hurt less than when a Dem. is in office. Not to mention the damage to our Nat'l Defense they bring. Last night Barney Frank said we'll take the money for health care from the defense budget----here they go again!

Hello Shark,

I appreciate your tongue-in-cheek humor on this hub. Agree our schools have gone down the toilet -- the education my 17-year-old son has received in supposedly one of the best school systems in our area is shockingly lacking.

Hypocrites come in all shapes and sizes. There seems to be a veritable epidemic of sexual and financial "misconduct" going on in Washington and state politics. For every Democrat who dabbles there's an equal and opposite Republican who roams. I dunno. I sometimes think power goes to their heads (and not the big heads, either).

We may not see eye to eye on all issues, but I like your writing and will look forward to reading more from you! MM

Hi Mighty Mom,

I hear you on "one of the best" when you talk about the govenment schools in your state, but what does that really mean?  The HS in my town is rated in the top 15% of the state. My comment about that to people is that just means it's less crappy then the the other cities and towns.

As far as a Dem's or Repub's, I only know we get damaged less when we have a Republican in office. Just read my hub on "Modern Day Marshall Plan" and you will see what I mean. We just ended a period in MA of  16 years of Republican Governors  And even though they were RINO's, (Republican in name only),the State was better off. They took us from the tax and spend days of Michael Dukakis and held the all Democratic House and Senate's feet to the fire.

But now we are into our third year of a Democratic Gov, Deval Patrick, and it's back to taxes on top of taxes.

Check out his profile: A Black Chicago politician, it would be a "historic election" the press claimed. But what about the fact that he never held elected office? Experience doesn't matter, he's had other jobs...Gee this is sounding kind of familiar. His campaign theme..."together we can"...

We can what? ---never answered, kind of like "Change you can count on"----what kind of change----doesn't matter.

So he pursued the Romney plan of Universal Health for the state,(sounding more familiar?), Got an expanded version passed that would be paid for by taxing businesses with a "fair share tax". I don't know about you, but whenever a poltician tells me a tax is going to be my "fair share" I know the slight of hand trick is about to be done

So the "fair tax" simply taxes businesses that do not have a health plan.

Even if your co operates on part time help, they add the hours, divide by 40 and consider that number to be the number of full time employees you are taxed on. And it makes no difference if the employees don't want health care because they have it through their spouse. It has MA on the verge of bankruptcy, it is why no Dem even dared to mention the MA universal health plan during the campaign or their convention. It is a projection of what we are in for on a national scale, only worse because on the Federal level we will have a new Dept. to determine who should get what care.

What's that your 75 and the Dr. want to do a MRI scan? You've lived your mortality, even if your ill you should get a few more years----scan denied!!

I hate to say it but that's what we're in for, look at the way Obama danced around the question about the grandmother needing a pace maker. That's all you needed to hear to see where we are going...

I was prepared to give a list of Democrats lies and crimes but it hit me, they have never claimed to be a moral group as the Republicans have. That is why the propaganda works so well for Democrats all they have to do is say "they preach moral behavior but never live it!" Democrats never take the high road because they don't have to, they have willing accomplices in the media that look the other way or throw up a Republican who has done the same thing and turn the focus there!

I think what we as citizens need to do is put up imperfect candidates so that regular people can be elected instead of groomed candidates. They want to dig into my past they certainly can, they will find an imperfect person and I wont try and run from it. It was a lesson learned along the bumpy road of life. I think I just found my next Hub, stay tuned! Good hub BTW!

The Shark  says:

Thanks Tex, the thing with libs is that they seize any news about a Republican that has a moral problem, claiming that Republicans are hypocryts. Under their way of thinking we should never tell kids in schools not to take drugs, because if one does then the whole system failed. They never focus on the success of the program or message. (looking forward to the new hub)
