55Family Day
Every family should have a day during the week or month set aside for just family. Who fights with you more and takes up for you more than anyone? Who will voice their opinion louder about choices you need to make, what they really think about the politicians, a book just read, or a movie watched? Your family!
Have a family day dinner and invite your extended family. However, don't plan anything beyond buying the food you want to prepare. Start cooking after the family arrives. You know the saying, "Too many cooks in the kitchen spoils the broth." Nonsense! The more family members you can get into your kitchen to prepare the meal, the better. Everyone in the kitchen at one time to help prepare the meal, no matter how crowded, makes the best and funniest memories.
Do plan after dinner fun. Card games, dominoes, a new movie, Xbox competitions, or time in the yard brings the family together.
So, if you want honest answers and good memories have Family Day and don't let your job or career get in the way.
