Have you ever noticed that when you look back into family photos or rather friends photos as well, that what you thought would make an awesome, righteous, crazy, bodacious, cool or classic picture was you looking like a dork?

Well, when my mother decided to pull out pictures of all five of us and photos of us with friends never in my life could I believe my eyes. All five of us, no kidding, all five of us thought we were soooo cooool. But really we looked like dorks. My poor mother. All she wanted was wonderful family pictures of events in our life and all we could do was give her 46 years of dorkiness.

We sat around, as my mother made coffee, looking at each other. We were embarrassed. We started talking about having a beautiful picture of all five of us and the thirteen grandchildren and the five great grandchildren coming together with our mother in the middle. Unfortunately, our father has passed away. 

We felt very sullen. Until my mother came out of the kitchen laughing. She started laughing. She picked up picture after picture on how funny we were and the great times we had. I guess when it was all said and done, we did not have much, but we had our dorky pictures. That is what made my mother happy. So, be it. I stood and told my four brothers and sisters, that I vow until the day I died - I would continue in giving my mother dorky pictures. Of course my brothers and sisters had to point out that I had the highest number of dorky pictures.

Hmm... that sounded like a challenge.
