Ramon F. Abarquez, Jr. was born on July 9, 1928. He was recognized for his outstanding research accomplishments in the field of cardiovascular diseases and significant, and the pioneering contributions to exercise ECG methodology.

Dr. Teresita P. Acevedo has a big contribution in the field of engineering and industrial research. She is a food chemical engineer whose researches helped and influenced the country's lawmakers in formulating food development policies and standards. Her research studies are now being used as bases in the design and creation of globally competitive food processing technologies that continuously help the country's food manufacturing sector in producing world-class quality food products.

A Filipino Biologist who has more than thirty years of experience in tropical marine resource conservation. Angel Alcala is considered a world class authority in ecology and biogeography of amphibians and reptiles. Angel is the one behind the invention of artificial coral reefs to be used for fisheries in Southeast Asia and now the Director of the Angelo King Center for Research and Environmental Management.

Dr. Leoncio A. Amadore is an atmospheric scientist who has a huge contribution in the field of Earth Sciences. His scientific works resulted to an empirical method of forecasting tropical cyclone movement, which had been internationally recognized as the Amadore Method. This method (Amadore Method) and all the published articles of Dr. Amadore had significantly contributed to the advancement of atmospheric science and hydrometeorology in the country. His written technical and scientific articles enriched with scientific information from his meteorological researches on storm surges, tropical cyclone, disaster management cycle, typhoon climatology, structures and development were published in local and international scientific journals.

Julian Banzon is a Filipino chemist recognized for his researched methods of producing alternative fuels. He was the one who experimented with the production of ethyl esters fuels from sugarcane and coconut, and invented a means of extracting residual coconut oil by a chemical process rather than a physical process.

Ramon Barba is a Filipino scientist who is best known for his advancements in mango farming research and tropical tree physiology. He invented techniques to promote crop flowering using a potassium nitrate spray. This made the Philippines to be the leading exporter of mangoes and mango products.

She was the first to publish a book with an authoritative text on Philippine insects. These numerous publications on Philippine Insects especially on Philippine Hymenoptera are very significant to Science for they lay the Groundwork for future biological control in the Philippines. Dr. Baltazar has discovered of 8 and one subgenus of Hymenoptera and 108 new species of the Philippine parasitic Wasp's. which are the important contributions to the field of Science. She received the Rizal Pro Patria Award in Entomology in 1980. Dr. Baltazar is well recognized here and abroad for all these achievements,

Doctor Benjamin Cabrera is a Filipino scientist who was born on March 18, 1920. He has written more than a hundred scientific publications on medical parasitological and public health - in particle research on filariasis. He has developed innovations in drug treatments against diseases caused by mosquitoes and agricultural soil. The elucidation of the epidemiology and life cycles of filarial parasites, preventive measures in the form of drug treatment of human cases as well as measures against the mosquito vectors can be implemented. Dr. Cabrera also worked on the control of ascariasis. with the model he proposed, hazards produced by these soil-transmitted helminthes can be reduced. Dr.Cabrera received the Philippine Legion of Honor, a Presidential Award in 1996.

Dr. Camara Besa is a Medical educator and researcher who was born on March 2, 1915. She has worked on the sodium and potassium content of Philippine foods and established standards useful in the preparation of diets. She has series of 8 papers on Cholesterol levels in relation to diets of various segments of the Filipino given an Idea of the Importance epidemiological basic data on Filipino population which are very importance of fats and Cholesterol in the Epidemiology of Atherosclerosis among Filipinos. Dr. Camar-besa has also some researches which were award winning. She was a Barbour Scholar, University of Michigan from 1939-1940 and is various honorary and learned Societies.

Dr. Campos is born on March 30, 1930. She is recognized for her contributions to cotton research in the Philippines leading to the development of a package of technology on cotton production achieved in relatively short period of three years(3). She is also deeply noted for her involvement in research on the Sunflower, a very promising source of oil and Livestock feed.

She received awards in recognition for her achievements in : PhilAAS Gregorio Y. Zara Scientists Award (1973), Ayala Award (1974) and as one of the outstanding Filipino Scientist's Presidential Award for Public Service (1976) and Woman of the World Award (1983).

Doctor Paulo Campos is a Filipino scientist who was born on July 27, 1921. He is noted and a specialist in nuclear medicine and the award winning writer of over seventy-five scientific papers including:

Dr. Paulo Campos built and credited for establishing the first and best known Radioisotope Laboratory in he Philippines. This is the the first Research Laboratory in the Department of Medicine, University of the Philippines and the Thyroid Clinic of the UP-PGH Medical Center. He was name Outstanding Scientist (Gregoria Y. Zara) Award in 1969 for his Achievements in research the Philippine Association for the Advancement of Science.
