Chicago has many restaurants by as there are famous people there are famous restaurants. Three of the most famous are Charlie Trotter's, Tru, and Blackbird.
Charlie Trotter’s of Chicago
Charlie Trotter's is located at 816 West Armitage, Chicago Illinois. They have been open for twenty years is regarded as on of the finest restaurants of Chicago. As a fine dining restaurant (5 stars) they offer three menus, Vegetable, The Kitchen Table, and the Grand.
The Grand Menu offers snow creek oyster with celery & satsuma orange or Nantucket Bay scallop with nori dust & pickled daikon to finish up with organic buttermilk with white pepper toasted milk ice cream & nutmeg topped with chocolate, tea, or caramel.
The Vegetable menu offers maitake mushrooms with chrysanthemum & sesame of butternut squash with walnut, perigord black truffle & toasted pepita to finish up with Indonesian chocolate with pine nuts & pandan broth.
The Kitchen Table menu offers Sima-aji with grapefruit & puffed rice or Japanese saba with carrot & sourdough to finish up with Venezuelan chocolate with grilled nopales, lime & agavero jelly.
The head chef, Charlie Trotter has author 14 cookbooks. He has also appeared on the PBS cooking series, and hosted the TV Show "The Kitchen Sessions with Charlie Trotter".

Their dinner entrees include, grilled California sturgeon with sauerkraut gnocchi, Anjou pear and celery root puree or braised rack of lamb with leeks, spigarello, preserved lemon and rum-raisin consommé to finish up with bittersweet chocolate pave with caraway ice cream, roasted pears and candied olives.
