His most famous role is the serial killer Hannibal Lecter in "The Silence of the Lambs". He has appeared in many other hit films such as "The Elephant Man" and "The Mask of Zorro"

Henri Matisse was born December 31, 1869 in Nice, France. He was a French artist, draughtsmanship, printmaker, and sculptorand one of the best-known artists of the twentieth century. A Matisse painting millions of dollars. he died of a heart attack 3 November, 1954 aged 84.

Gong Li was born December 31, 1965 in Shenyang, China. She is a Chinese award winning film actress best known for her roles in the critically acclaimed Chinese comedy-drama film "The Story of Qiu Ju" and the film "Red Sorghum" and the Hong Kong-Taiwan film "Raise the Red Lantern" among others.

George Marshall, Jr. was born December 31, 1880 in Washington, D.C. He was an American award winning military leader, Secretary of State, and the 3rd Secretary of Defense, the chief military adviser to President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the "organizer of victory" in the words of Winston Churchill. As Secretary of State he gave his name to the Marshal Plan for which he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1953. He died October 16, 1959 aged 79.

Simon Wiesenthal KBE was born December 31, 1908 in Buczacz, Ukrainian Galicia. He was an Austrian-Jewish architectural engineer. After surviving the Holocaust he hunted down Nazi war criminals including the notorious Aribert Heim, who was discovered weeks after Wiesenthal died, on September 20, 2005 at age 96.
