Tell me something you like, or don't like, about these celebrities. Or, if you have a story to tell about them, use the comment box to tell it.
Jose Ferrer was a fabulous actor. His portrayal of Cyrano de Bergerac was superb. His wife, Rosemary Clooney, was a great singer. Butterfly McQueen was always entertaining. David Bowie's "Little Drummer Boy" duo with Bing Crosby is memorable. I never heard of Elvis Presley!!!
Soupy Sales had a children's show in Detroit in the early to mid 1950s in which he played a bellboy in a hotel. The elevator doors by his desk would open and Mr. Hand (a hand and a suit cuff) and Mr. Foot (a man's foot in a dress shoe and a trouser leg) would appear from opposite sides of the door and joke with him. This was the forreunner to White Fang (a shaggy white fake paw) and Black Tooth (a shaggy black paw, that would appear at opposite sides of a French door behind him on his Soupy Sales Show in the 1960s. Early TV us so much fun! We have a TV museum here. LOL
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed listening to Rosemary sing "Blues in the Night." Thank you, compu-smart. The Bowie-Crosby video was a wonderful surprise. This hub belongs in the Hall of Fame.
I love Oliver Twist, Ron Moody was awesome. Elvis Presley, he is still alive so he will be having fun today :)
Compu,
I get so jealous of that Fat singer, can't remember his name. He is dead longer than I have been awake and his still making money at Graceland's.
Money aside, I will be amazed if any one will even remember my name that long into the future.
Ah Sweet life.
Thank you I knew some of them
Wow you have now got me wanting more,it's amazing-how many celebrities that have been long forgotten and admired
