This 800-acre, cool and comfy recreation area has its own interesting story to tell about its name. Thomas Jefferson Adair was responsible for the name Fool Hollow. In 1885, Adair moved into the area with the intention of farming. The locals joked that only a fool would try and farm the place. The area stands today as a home to one of the nation's tallest stands of ponderosa pine with trees above 100 feet tall. Fishing opportunities are abundant with rainbow trout, brown trout; large and small mouth bass, black crappie, green sunfish, channel catfish, and walleye all there in the lake to serve you with a great fishing experience.
