Quarterback Rankings Week 11

1. Jay Cutler At Atlanta Falcons

2. Peyton Manning Vs. Houston Texans

3. Drew Brees At Kansas City Chiefs

4. Kurt Warner At Seattle Seahawks

5. Tony Romo At Washington Redskins

6. Jake Delhomme Vs. Detroit Lions

7. Matt Ryan Vs. Denver Broncos

8. Donovan McNabb At Cincinnati Bengals

9. Chad Pennington Vs. Oakland Raiders

10. Tyler Thigpen Vs. New Orleans Saints

11. Brett Favre At New England Patriots

12. Philip Rivers At Pittsburgh Steelers

It feels wrong to rank a Jay Cutler above a Peyton Manning but considering Cutler has no running backs (3 top backs out with injury) and possibly no Champ Bailey again (making a bad defense even worse) I see more upside in Cutler this week despite both of them playing pretty light defenses. Romo is definitely the wildcard this week though as I suspect he could have played 4 weeks ago but the Cowboys wanted to play it safe. It looks like Romo still will not be 100% but still a good play I'd assume until we see different.

Quarterback Rankings Week 10

The following teams are on bye this week: Cincinnati Bengals, Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Washington Redskins

1. Drew Brees At Atlanta Falcons

2. Kurt Warner Vs. San Francisco 49ers

3. Jay Cutler At Cleveland Browns

4. Peyton Manning At Pittsburgh Steelers

5. Aaron Rodgers At Minnesota Vikings

6. Philip Rivers Vs. Kansas City Chiefs

7. Jake Delhomme At Oakland Raiders

8. Brett Favre Vs. St. Louis Rams

9. Donovan McNabb Vs. New York Giants

10. Eli Manning At Philadelphia Eagles

11. Chad Pennington Vs. Seattle Seahawks

12. Matt Ryan Vs. New Orleans Saints

13. Brady Quinn Vs. Denver Broncos

If you are a gambler I love Brady Quinn Thursday night as the Browns have some talent and the Broncos D is terrible and NO Champ Bailey again (injury). I am definitely a minority in this pick but I like his upside unless I have a stud QB starting this week. Brees, Warner, & Cutler have great match ups and should perform big. After that I see some of those top 12 struggling due to good defensive play but I do however predict a big game from Favre this week. Instinstively I feel like he is due for a big game and the Rams D has been better but is still not very good under Haslett.

Quarterback Rankings Week 9

The following teams are on bye this week: Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, San Diego Chargers, San Francisco 49ers

1. Kurt Warner At St. Louis Rams

2. Jay Cutler Vs. Miami Dolphins

3. Kyle Orton Vs. Detroit Lions

4. Peyton Manning Vs. New England Patriots

5. Donovan McNabb At Seattle Seahawks

6. Matt Schaub At Minnesota Vikings

7. Eli Manning Vs. Dallas Cowboys

8. Aaron Rodgers At Tennessee Titans

9. Ben Roethlisberger At Washington Redskins

10. Chad Pennington At Denver Broncos

11. Marc Bulger Vs. Arizona Cardinals

12. Brett Favre At Buffalo Bills

No one expected Kurt Warner to be on top of the fantasy world but right now he's looking like money provided he stays healthy. Warner has over 2,000 yards and 14 touchdowns in 7 games and faces the Rams D which averages giving up over 28 points and ranks near the bottom of the league in every category. Cutler's finger is better so he should be back to his old form. Orton & Schaub both have been very hot and face pass defenses that should be easy to score against. Pennington/Favre/Bulger are riskier starts but I don't see any extremely favorable match up (maybe Garrard V. Cinci) to knock any of them out of the top 12 this week as I think all 3 have at least a decent fantasy showing.

Quarterback Rankings Week 8

The following teams are on bye this week: Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings

1. Drew Brees Vs. San Diego Chargers -- Brees has Colston back but has lost Bush who was a nice option and provided many yards for Brees thanks to his YAC however Brees has been the most consistent QB this year as he averages over 315 yards per game and has 12 touchdowns compared to his 7 picks. It will be interesting as he plays his former team in London but the Chargers have struggled to get going this year and they currently rank dead last in the NFL against the pass.

2. Donovan McNabb Vs. Atlanta Falcons -- McNabb should have Westbrook (and Kevin Curtis) back and should have a good game against the Falcons who rank 26th vs the pass. McNabb averages 260+ yards per game & had 8 touchdowns and 3 picks in 6 games.

3. Matt Schaub Vs. Cincinnati Bengals -- Schaub continues to be red hot (953 yards & 6 scores last 3 games played) and the Bengals defense really hasn't been able to stop anyone this year.

4. Peyton Manning At Tennessee Titans -- This should be a very tough match up for Manning as the Titans only average giving up 11 points per game but as Manning showed us against the Ravens he is definitely capable of putting up some great numbers against the tough defenses in the league. This should be a very interesting match up but if I owned Manning I'd hesitate to bench him unless I had a real solid play behind him.

5. Philip Rivers At New Orleans Saints -- As you may know Rivers is not my fave but he should be able to put up some good numbers against a mediocre at best Saints defense. Rivers has just under 1,700 yards and 16 touchdowns already this year making him a good start with this match up.

6. Kurt Warner At Carolina Panthers -- A tougher D but Warner win or lose has been putting up some great numbers (1708 yards, 12 TD's, 5 picks in 6 games). Warner prbably will have Anquan Boldin back meaning he'll have 3 reliable targets (Fitz, Boldin,& Breaston) to throw to. The Panthers do rank 2nd in the NFL against the pass but I see them limiting Warner from having a great game not a good game.

7. Jake Delhomme Vs. Arizona Cardinals -- The Cards rank 20th vs. the pass and since Jake has gotten Steve Smith back that offense is looking very potent with great balance on the ground and through the air. Minus his bad game (0 TD's 3 INT's) against the Bucs Delhomme is averaging 2 scores per week with 240+ yards per game his last 4 outings.

8. Brett Favre Vs. Kansas City Chiefs -- Favre has struggled these last 2 weeks against some lesser defenses (under 200 yards each game with 4 picks total and only 1 TD) but he did just throw 6 TD's 3 games ago and has 13 on the year making me think he is overdue for another big fantasy performance against the Chiefs who give up over 400 yards and nearly 4 touchdowns per game.

Other QB's Worth A Good Look: Ben Roethlisberger Vs. New York Giants, Trent Edwards At Miami Dolphins, David Garrard Vs. Cleveland Browns, Jason Campbell At Detroit Lions, Eli Manning At Pittsburgh Steelers.

Quarterback Rankings Week 7

The following teams are on bye this week: Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Jacksonville Jaguars, Philadelphia Eagles

1. Peyton Manning At Green Bay Packers -- While I'm still not totally convinced Manning & crew are back after taking so long to break out but this week he has the best match up as the Packers. While the Pack's numbers against the pass look good its more due to their weak numbers against the run. I expect Manning to have similar numbers but not as goos numbers as his 271 yard 3 TD performance against the Ravens.

2. Drew Brees At Carolina Panthers -- The Panthers D is very good against the pass (ranked 3rd in the NFL) but Brees has been a very consistent fantasy producer and should have another good fantasy day win or lose in Carolina. Brees already has just under 2,000 yards, 12 TD's & 6 picks in 6 games.

3. Ben Roethlisberger At Cincinnati Bengals -- Big Ben was playing hurt 2 weeks ago but didn't look very injured as he smoked the Jags (309 yards & 3 TD's) and I expect more of that against the Bengals. Hopefully Big Ben used his bye to heal up but even if he's still playing injured he has proven its not a big deal for now.

4. Brett Favre At Oakland Raiders -- While I see Favre not making the playoffs with his new team I do see him having a good fantasy year if he stays healthy all year. The Raiders defense is ranked 26th vs. the pass and Favre will look to improve upon his 13 touchdown total this season so far.

5. Matt Schaub Vs. Detroit Lions -- The Lions are a mess and now have lost their top QB & top WR (injury & trade) and I think their will to really compete and win. The Lions rank 30th against the pass and Schaub & Andre Johnson are hot. Schaub has thrown for over 680 yards his last 2 games played for 4 TD's & 2 picks.

6. Jay Cutler At New England Patriots -- Cutler has cooled off after starting the season on fire but I expect another good outing against the Patriots who are not looking very good this year on either side of the ball without Brady. The Pats are ranked #12 vs. the pass but have not been as dominating as previous years and Cutler looks to be coming into his own this year as he already has 1293 yards, 12 TD's & 5 picks.

7. Eli Manning Vs. San Francisco 49ers -- 2 weeks ago without Plaxico and against a tougher defense I expected Eli to struggle and he didn't. This last week he got Plaxico back and faced a bad defense and threw 3 interceptions. Despite that bad outing Manning should bounce back fine against the Niners and have a decent game.

8. Aaron Rodgers Vs. Indianapolis Colts -- The Colts D is pretty bad and Rodgers should have a decent game against them possibly throwing the ball more than normal if Peyton is dead on like he was last week.

9. Brad Johnson At St. Louis Rams -- He doesn't have the arm strength or mobility that Romo has but I expect this 17 year vet to have a nice debut against the team that gives up the most points in the NFL. I also think its tough to fail especially now surrounded bya supporting cast of Roy Williams, TO, Witten, Barber and Felix Jones. A risky start but one I am employing on one of my fantasy teams with high expectations provided I get him off the waiver wire.

Others Worth A Good Look: Philip Rivers At Buffalo Bills, Kyle Orton Vs. Minnesota Vikings, Jake Delhomme Vs. New Orleans Saints, Derek Anderson At Washington Redskins, Marc Bulger Vs. Dallas Cowboys

Quarterback Rankings Week 6

The following teams are on bye this week: Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Tennessee Titans.

1. Tony Romo At Arizona Cardinals -- Romo quietly scored three touchdowns last week bringing his total on the year to 11. He continues to make at least one mistake a game but makes up for his mistake with great play every week. The Cardinals have a decent pass defense but not good enough to get in Romo's way. He should have another solid fantasy week.

2. Drew Brees Vs. Oakland Raiders -- Brees has looked great considering all the injuries to his receivers. While he doesn't get anyone back this week he does face the Raiders who average giving up 325+ yards per game and really have not looked good all year. Brees has averaged 334 yards and just under 2 touchdowns per game.

3. Brett Favre Vs. Cincinnati Bengals -- Favre is coming off his 6 TD performance 2 weeks ago and gets to face the 19th ranked defense in the NFL in the Bengals. I rank the Bengals lower than that and I think Favre continues his quest to make those Packers fans who didn't want him back to be very sorry. I doubt 6 TD's will happen but I could very easily believe Favre and Palmer get into a shootout and put up some great fantasy numbers.

4. Peyton Manning Vs. Baltimore Ravens -- Manning has a history of success against the Ravens (6 TD's no picks in 2 games the last 3 years) but his offense still has not seemed to get into full gear yet. I expect the Colts to continue to struggle to run the ball but I think Manning has a decent game despite how good the Ravens D has been this year.

5. Kurt Warner Vs. Dallas Cowboys -- I expect Warner to give Romo a run for his money this game and despite most likely still being without Boldin having another good game. Warner has averaged just under 300 yards and 2 scores per game. The Cowboys defense has looked pretty good this year but does rank 17th against the pass and Warner should be able to score some points on them.

6. Donovan McNabb At San Francisco 49ers -- A rib injury to Westbrook definitely can hurt McNabb's production as nobody on that team can fully replace Westbrook but either way I see McNabb having a good game against the Niners who rank 19th in the league vs. the pass.

7. Eli Manning At Cleveland Browns -- Eli gets Plaxico back (although it didn't seem like he missed him very much last week) and gets to face another bad defense in the Browns. Eli should have a good game however I see the running game really beating up on the Browns (22nd vs the run) meaning Eli's stats might be as good as previous performances.

8. Jason Campbell Vs. St Louis Rams -- Scratch Campbell's week 1 & 5 performances and he has been unstoppable with over a 100 QB rating and almost 2 scores per game. Yes against the tougher defenses he has struggled however the Rams don't fall into that category as they allow almost 37 points per game and rank 28th in yards allowed.

9. Jay Cutler Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars -- Another tough match up for this up and coming QB as he comes off a solid performance against the Bucs (227 yards TD no picks). The Jags are ranked 26th in the NFL against the pass but are much better than that. I expect Cutler to be limited and have a similar week to last week.

10. Carson Palmer At New York Jets -- Palmer and Houshmanzedah got back on track last week as they hooked up for 2 touchdowns. The Jets are a dangerous defense but much stronger vs. the run (5th in the NFL) than they are against the pass (31st) which plays into Palmer's & the Bengals strengths. Keep an eye on Palmer's injured elbow this week but based off his last game he looked pretty well healed.

11. Aaron Rodgers At Seattle Seahawks -- Playing injured Rodgers had a great performance against Atlanta (313 yards 3 TD's) however I see him having a much more mediocre game against the Seahawks. The Seahawks are still pretty weak vs. the pass (28th) but I think we see a big dose of Ryan Grant who looks healthier now and only a mediocre game from Rodgers.

Others Worth A Good Look: Philip Rivers Vs. New England Patriots -- A dangerous game for Philips who has been so good he's tough to bench , Matt Cassel At San Diego Chargers -- We saw some nice plays last week but a risky start against a Chargers defense due for a good game although they currently rank last in the NFL vs. the pass, Kyle Orton At Atlanta Falcons -- Good match up but tough to start a Bears QB in the fantasy world, David Garrard At Denver Broncos -- One of the best match ups Garrard will see all year, Jake Delhomme At Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Tough match up but Delhomme & Panthers are red hot right now,

Quarterback Rankings Week 5

The following teams are on bye this week: New York Jets, Oakland Raiders, St Louis Rams, & Cleveland Browns

1. Tony Romo Vs. Cincinnati Bengals -- Romo has been one of the most consistent & solid fantasy performers this year averaging 298 yards & 2 TDs per game (and 1.5 turnovers but nobody is perfect). He should continue to have success against the Bengals much maligned defense which is ranked 19th in the NFL and much worse than that if you ask me.

2. Peyton Manning At Houston Texans -- I'm positive Manning used the bye week to his advantage to get more in sync with his offense and his line should be 100% healthy which is always a big thing for a player like Manning. I expect a big game from him against the Texans who are a pretty bad defense (30th in points against & 25th in yards against). He's definitely overdue for a big fantasy game.

3. Drew Brees Vs. Minnesota Vikings -- Despite being without Shockey & Colston Brees had a great game last week against the Niners (seems to be a theme with Shockey isn't it?). The Vikings are very tough against the run (3rd) but not nearly as tough against the pass (17th) which is good news for Brees owners and also might convince some owners to snag a few of Bree's virtually unknown receivers if they are in a bind for a bye week receiver.

4. Philip Rivers At Miami Dolphins -- Rivers had a down week against the Raiders but still has 10 touchdowns in only 4 games and has another very favorable match up in the Miami Dolphins defense which is mediocre at best and ranked 26th vs. the pass.

5. Donovan McNabb Vs. Washington Redskins -- The Skins might have beaten and somewhat contained the Cowboys however unless Jason Taylor returns I think McNabb has a big game against the. If Taylor does play it will make it tougher for McNabb but still a solid fantasy start, especially if Westbrook is back as that important screen pass/drop off pass element of the offense was definitely missing last week.

6. Aaron Rodgers Vs. Atlanta Falcons -- If Rodger is healthy I like this match up for him as the Falcons are ranked 20th in yards allowed and Ryan Grant reminds me of Rudi Johnson last year with this nagging hamstring injury that is greatly affecting his fantasy scoring output.

7. Jake Delhomme Vs. Kansas City Chiefs -- With Steve Smith back Delhomme is averaging a touchdown a game and 50 more yards a game than before. He hasn't been great but I like this matchup and I like him and Smith to have a very good game as the Chiefs rank 29th in yards against and they don't play as well away from Arrowhead Stadium.

8. Jay Cutler Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- He showed us he is not Elway yet as the Chiefs rattled him last week but hard to bench a guy averaging 319 yards & 2+ touchdowns per game (also 1 pick per game as well). Tampa is a top ten defense but should not be able to stop Cutler.

9. Kurt Warner Vs. Buffalo Bills -- The Bills D will make this a tough game for Warner (ranked 6th vs the pass) but as we learned from Matthew Berry last week its not always a great idea to bench a good starter due to the match up (Berry advised benching Larry Johnson & Brett Favre last week). Warner already has over 1,200 yards and 8 touchdowns making him a must start. He also has 4 picks, 4 fumbles and 12 sacks against him making it a dangerous match up however.

10. Matt Schaub Vs. Indianapolis Colts -- I see the Texans playing from behind forcing Schaub to throw the ball alot. Schaub is a better QB than his first 2 week stat lines and as he showed us vs. the Jags capable of some decent fantasy #'s (307 yards & 3 touchdowns). Its also amazing how much a good running game improves the QB as Slaton has been very impressive the last 2 weeks.

Others Worth A Good Look: Trent Edwards At Arizona Cardinals -- Decent match up if he and Evans can take advantage would be a good start, Carson Palmer At Dallas Cowboys -- If he plays (watch for his elbow injury through the week) I see the Bengals throwing a lot in a high scoring game, Eli Manning Vs. Seattle Seahawks -- No Plaxico and not the greatest match up might be a good time to platoon a different QB in there for this week, Matt Hasselbeck At New York Giants -- He finally gets some receivers back but the Giants D has been tough this year, Ben Roethlisberger At Jacksonville Jaguars -- A dangerous game as Parker & Mendehall are out and the Jags are a better D than their #'s show them as plus Big Ben still has a lingering hand injury, Matt Cassel At San Francisco 49ers -- Yes the Niners are better this year vs. the pass & Cassel looked bad against the Fins however Belichick has won 10 straight after a bye week by almost a 2 touchdown average. A risky play but one I might do this week.

Quarterback Rankings Week 4

The following teams have a bye week 4: Detroit Lions, Indianapolis Colts, Miami Dolphins, N.Y. Giants, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots

1. Phillip Rivers At Oakland Raiders -- I've never been a big fan of Rivers but 9 touchdowns in 3 games, LT still hampered by injury, and the Raiders disgruntled and struggling defense makes him a must start this week. Kiffingate has to be a major distraction to those angry Raiders right now.

2. Jay Cutler At Kansas City Chiefs -- Cutler is averaging over 300 yards and 2 touchdowns per game and the Chiefs nearly gave up 40 points to Matt Ryan's Falcons last week.

3. Tony Romo Vs. Washington Redskins -- Its funny when 260 yards and a touchdown (and a pick) is a bad game for you. Romo has been the most consistent of the higher tier QB's this year and no Jason Taylor (out due to injury) might mean Romo might have all day to find open receivers.

4. Drew Brees Vs. San Francisco 49ers -- Brees has been texting Hasselbeck for coping methods as now he has lost TE Jeremy Shockey to a sports hernia for at least 3 weeks. Despite his receivers getting decimated Brees has continued to be a good fantasy start in large part to a deep receiver corp and also in very large part to Reggie Bush catching passes in the open field. The Niners D has been an improvement this year but I still don't have much respect for them.

5. Kurt Warner At New York Jets -- Warner had a decent week against the Skins (although he was one delay of game penalty away from a nice fantasy game) and he faces the Jets who looked pretty good in their first 2 weeks but looked pretty bad Monday night as the Chargers (with a wounded LT) almost put up 50. I don't think Warner has a great game but he's a good start this week as many top QB's are on bye this week.

6. Donovan McNabb At Chicago Bears -- Despite the respect I have for the Bears D McNabb has started the season pretty hot and Westbrook's ankle injury appears to be very minor so far. This is a dangerous game for McNabb as he returns home (he went to high school at Mt. Carmel in Chicago) but he should have between 200-300 yards and a score.

7. Carson Palmer Vs. Cleveland Browns -- Palmer and the Bengals offense seemed to come alive a little last week. While this is definitely a risky play, sometimes there is nothing like a bad defense to get a struggling offense going. Last season Palmer had 516 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2 games against this D back when this D still had Leigh Bodden at corner. A risky play but I like the Bengals offense this Sunday.

8. Brett Favre Vs. Arizona Cardinals -- Favre may be cursed by the Madden Cover however he should be a good fantasy scorer all year long as he and Kurt Warner will have a shoot out in this game.

9. Aaron Rodgers At Tampa Bay Buccaneers --Rodgers has surprised me this year and started out pretty solid (102 QB Rating, 796 yards, 4 Td's, 0 Picks) despite the Pack running attack struggling. I don't like the match up against the Bucs stingy top ranked defense but in a week with many QB's on bye he should be a solid start.

10. Ben Roethlisberger Vs. Baltimore Ravens -- One of the better defenses in the league, Willie Parker out, and Big Ben is working with an injured throwing hand (don't forget his nagging shoulder injury as well) means he is due for a lackluster performance. Watch the injury reports throughout the week as if healthy Big Ben has a decent work history against the Ravens but definitely a risky start due to the hand.

11. Jake Delhomme Vs. Atlanta Falcons -- Jake has Steve Smith back and the run game looking good so he should be due for a big game. The Falcons D isn't as good as they looked last week against thelowly Chiefs.

12. Derek Anderson At Cincinnati Bengals -- It sounds like its about to be Brady Quinn time in Cleveland unless Andersongets going fast. So far Anderson has less than 400 yards 2 touchdows but 6 picks already. I do like this match up for him however as last season in 2 games vs. the Bengals Anderson had 579 yards and 7 touchdowns (and 5 picks though as well) so if he fails this game he defiinitely deserves to be benched.

Others worth a good look: Trent Green Vs. Buffalo Bills -- Bulger has been benched for the veteran but the Bills are a tough math up , Trent Edwards At St. Louis Rams -- Edwards hasn't been that great but the Rams D has been terrible, JT O'Sullivan At New Orleans Saints -- I still don't like JTO as a fantasy QB but he's had success so far and New Orleans pass defense is pretty bad.

Quarterback Rankings -- Week 3

1. Peyton Manning Vs. Jacksonville Jaguars -- It looks like it took Manning 6 quarters to shake off all the rust from not playing in the preseason. He now looks back to regular form.

2. Jay Cutler Vs. New Orleans Saints -- Cutler is red hot right now and the Saints made the Redskins passing game look good last week.

3. Tony Romo At Green Bay Packers -- Romo is hot as well and while the Packers are a more dangerous D, Romo should have a good game.

4. Donovan McNabb Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers -- Provided no more TD celebrations on the 1 yard line McNabb looks very healthy and should continue his success.

5. Ben Roethlisberger At Philadelphia Eagles -- The Eagles will pressure Big Ben and make it a tougher night but Big Ben and his top 2 receivers are on the same page now and Ben's shoulder seems to be okay.

6. Drew Brees At Denver Broncos -- The Broncos secondary has not been very menacing this year but Colston out appears to hurt the Saints passing attack more than you would think.

7. Kurt Warner At Washington Redskins -- Warner has been pretty good so far. He's due for a mediocre fantasy game but hard to bench him with what he's done so far.

8. Eli Manning Vs. Cincinnati Bengals -- Eli and Plaxico did not dissappoint against the Rams. I expect Cinci to give up too many yards on the ground for Eli to have a great day but Eli should be able to rack up some yards and scores despite that.

9. Phillip Rivers Vs. New York Jets -- Rivers is using his receivers more and it doesn't hurt when even Sproles can break those short passes for a long gain. If LT can't play it lessens Rivers value but if he does Rivers is a good start this week.

10. Derek Anderson At Baltimore Ravens -- Between Edwards drops and some nasty wind to throw into Anderson has had trouble getting going. I don't predict anything spectacular but I do think Anderson finds the endzone twice this game.

11. Brett Favre At San Diego Chargers -- The Chargers D hasn't been very lights out without Merriman. Favre isn't putting up Packers #'s but he's a good start here as the angry Chargers will blow out the Jets and Favre will be trying to throw his way back into the game.

12. Matt Cassel Vs. Miami Dolphins -- Cassel was pretty quiet in his first start but utilized all the receivers on the field. I see him and Moss with more cohesion this week and Cassel getting some touchdown throws against the dolphins.

Others worth a good look: Aaron Rodgers Vs. Dallas Cowboys -- I think this D pressures Rodgers but so far it looks like he can handle it, Carson Palmer At New York Giants -- The Bengals are due for an offensive explosion only problem is predicting when it will happen. I'm benching all my Bengals for now, Jon Kitna At San Francisco 49ers -- I'm not a big fan of Kitna but the Niners have a weak secondary and Calvin Johnson is looking unstoppable at times this year.

Quarterback Rankings -- Week 2

1. Peyton Manning At Minnesota Vikings -- Hard to say Manning and company aren't still going to show some rust but the Vikings pass defense is one of the worst in the NFL. Have to give some credit to the Bears D Sunday night as well.

2. Ben Roethlisberger At Cleveland Browns -- Parker got his 3 TD's, Big Ben will get his 3 this game. The Browns D is bad.

3. Drew Brees At Washington Redskins -- Skins looked bad last Thursday and their offense looked terrible meanig the defense will be on the field more than they should be. Update: Bree's #1 target Marques Colston is now out 4-6 weeks from injury so he might not have as big a day unless he really spreads the ball around.

4. Tony Romo Vs. Philadelphia Eagles -- Tony Romo and crew look to be in full gear already. Too many waepons to hold Romo back.

5. Kurt Warner Vs. Miami Dolphins -- I expect a big game from Warner & Fitzgerald this week. They looked oretty good last Sunday.

6. Jay Cutler Vs. San Diego Chargers -- Yes a bit tougher D than those Raiders but Cutler also gets Brandon Marshall back. Marshall and Royal might be the best 2 receiver combo in the NFL right now and Cutler is maturing and becoming a stud QB, even Ditka loves him.

7. Aaron Rodgers At Detroit Lions -- Rodgers showed a lot of poise Monday Night and the Lions defense is pretty bad. Only worry I have is that Ryan Grant might run for 200+ yards cutting into Rodger's stats.

8. Donovan McNabb At Dallas Cowboys -- McNabb is hot right now after smoking the Rams but I think he comes back down to earth this game, but still a good fantasy start.

9. Derek Anderson Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers -- Anderson looked good against Dallas despite some bad drops from his receivers. I think this game will be a high scoring affair.

10. Brett Favre Vs. New England Patriots -- I expect Favre will throw some picks but I also expet a few touchdowns. Tough not to start Favre despite the Patriots defense.

11.Carson Palmer Vs. Tennessee Titans -- A terrible outing last Sunday should give the Bengals more motivation to perform in week 2.

12. Matt Cassel At New York Jets -- The Pats will become more conservative but Cassel and Moss should hook up at least once. The Jets just made Pennington look great so its not a bad team for Cassel to debut against.

Others worth a good look: Phillip Rivers At Denver Broncos -- I expect a high socring game, Marc Bulger Vs. New York Giants -- a defense that seems to still have its teeth however Bulger & crew back in the dome. They are much better on turf, Matt Schaub Vs. Baltimore Ravens -- Schaub will be throwing a lot as I see the running attack doing nothing. Probably not a win but maybe a good fantasy start.

Quarterback Rankings -- Week 1

1. Tom Brady Vs. Kansas City Chiefs -- Hasn't played all preseason but too good last year to downgrade his ranking.

2. Tony Romo At Cleveland Browns -- Weak defense and an offense that should be ready to score some points.

3. Peyton Manning Vs. Chicago Bears -- Bears defense might hurt Manning's fantasy points and Manning has not played all preseason. Timing may be off to start the season with Peyton and his receivers.

4. Drew Brees Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Decent defense but Saints have a high octane offense.

5. Brett Favre At Miami Dolphins -- A weak defense and a lot of people to prove wrong (including many former fans from GB). I think Favre comes out slinging.

6. Ben Roethlisberger Vs. Houston Texans -- Big Ben should pick up where he left off from last year's big fantasy season.

7. Carson Palmer At Baltimore Ravens -- The Ravens D doesn't concern me as much as the broken nose and the broken moral around the circus that is the Bengals offense. If Chad Ocho Cinco (its his official name now) plays hard and well Palmer should have some nice stats.

8. Jay Cutler At Oakland Raiders -- Cutler is minus his favorite target (Marshall suspended only 1 game now) and the Raiders secondary is greatly improved, however it is still the Raiders.

9. Donovan McNabb Vs. St. Louis Rams -- McNabb is healthy and should perform if he can stay healthy.

10. Matt Hasselbeck At Buffalo Bills -- A bad back, depleted receivers and decent defense against him but Hasselbeck will have a decent game.

11. Kurt Warner At San Francisco 49ers -- Provided Whisenhunt doesn't go crazy subbing QB's ion and out, Warner has the potential for big fantasy numbers.

12. Eli Manning Vs. Washington Redskins -- I like the Skins D but Eli has a ring, a new wife, and seemingly a lot of new confidence and poise. I expect him to emerge as a solid fantasy starter this year.

Others worth a good look: Jon Kitna At Atlanta Falcons (lots of skill at receiver and depleted DB corps in ATL), Marc Bulger At Philadelphia Eagles (an improved O line and no injuries, yet), Jason Campbell At New York Giants (some injuries to the Giants D makes them weaker), Chad Pennington Vs. New York Jets (I see them throwing a lot Sunday if they fall behind as much as I expect them to).

Predraft Rankings

Depending on your scoring system the quarterback position can sometimes be the most important of your roster. Tom Brady alone carried many fantasy teams most of last season showing fantasy owners its not always wise to continue to load up on runningbacks if a stud QB is available to draft. While I expect Brady to have a more normal season, I still expect he and Moss to hook up early and often this season for another big year. I have ranked the QB's in tiers as well basically showing the difference between the numbers. This list is based on 3 common scoring systems I play fantasy football on and my own analysis but obviously it might not fit your league's scoring system 100% so feel free to print it out and adjust accordingly for your draft, and good luck this season.

Oh, man. I should have known when the Hall of Fame game was on last night, but thank-you for reminding me that fantasy football season has started again. Feels like it just ended, not to long ago, but eh, what can you do? Have you written a how to understand Fantasy Football guide, yet? If not, I know I for one would really appreciate it.

That's ironic it seemed like ages to me since the season ended, I guess its all about perspective. That's a great idea for a hub. I wrote a hub on football for beginners but not fantasy football. I remember how overwhelming it was when I joined my first league. I'll start work on that idea tonight. Thanks.
