New Dunkin Donuts Waffle Breakfast Sandwich
New Dunkin Donuts Waffle Breakfast Sandwich

I wonder if I should try.... Have you ever gone to a fast food restaurant or heard/seen a commercial for a new fast food item and wondered if you should try it? Well, I have. I usually try everything that is new, especially if it is a Dunkin Donuts item. So, here is a quick review of the newest item on the Dunkin Donuts food item:

I needed coffee the other day about 20 minutes after getting to work. I asked around to my cubicle neighbors if they wanted anything from Dunkin Donuts and headed out. Fortunately, there are 3 Dunkin Donuts within 2 miles of my office. I pulled up to the drive thru and saw the new special - a Waffle Breakfast Sandwich made with cherrywood smoked bacon, eggbeaters egg, cheese, and maple syrup infused waffles. I couldn't wait to try it.

I love McDonald's McGriddle, so I figured I would really love this sandwich. I hurried back to the office, handed out orders, and unwrapped my Waffle Breakfast Sandwich.

As I took my first bite, I could smell the maple and waffles. The first bite was so delicious! If you like McGriddles, you will love this waffle sandwich. I liked the taste of the bacon, egg, cheese, and waffles together, but I think I will get it without bacon next time. The lack of the bacon flavor will be worth the better nutritional health value.

Here is the official nutritional information for the Waffle Breakfast Sandwich: 390 calories, 23grams fat, 8g Saturated fat, 0g trans fat, 1000mg sodium, 28g carbs, 1g dietary fiber, 6g sugar, 16g protein.

I suggest you hurry to your local Dunkin Donuts to try this sandwich before it is gone. This Waffle Breakfast Sandwich is only scheduled to be out until March 17, 2009. The suggested retail price is $2.99, even though my Dunkin Donuts is charging $3.99. It tastes great with their coffee too!
