Most people just start cutting their calories and working out at the gym like maniacs, without taking the time to properly inform themselves.

Listen, if you just take the time to get educated a little bit about your body and the nutrients you put in it, it will be worth it!

You can shave years off your weight loss efforts if you know what you're doing.

There is so much information available these days on the Internet. As a matter of fact, I'm betting you could get all the information you'll ever need off the Internet.

All it costs you is the time and energy to look up what you need to know. Or you could just read my hubs.

How To Lose Weight Fast

The best way to lose weight fast is by adopting a proper diet and getting regular exercise.

Your diet should contain a lot of fruits and vegetables. But fruits and vegetables are not enough.

Fruits and veggies are a good source of carbohydrates, which give you the energy you need to do your exercise.

But you also need proteins! Proteins are important for building muscle. And you absolutely need muscle if you are going to lose weight and keep it off as well!

Your muscles are your fat burning engines. Muscles use up energy just to maintain themselves. The more muscle you got, the more energy you are burning without even having to lift a finger.

It is important to have a diet that has all the right carbohydrates, proteins and fatty acids you need.


Fast Weight Loss Diets

Any good fast weight loss diet will contain the right carbs, proteins and fatty acids.

Yes, you need fatty acids as well. It sounds counter intuitive, but let me explain!

Most people look at their bellies, their flabby chests, their spare tires and get the idea that:

Fat = Bad!

This is a gross oversimplification of fat.

Do not make the mistake to think that if you don't eat fat, you can never gain fat. Because it doesn't work this way.

Your body needs some fatty acids to function correctly. When 10% of your nutrients are healthy fatty acids such as Omega 3, Omega 6 and Omega 9 oil, you will have a number benefits:

  • healthier skin
  • healthier nails
  • better mood
  • satisfied feeling of saturation
  • better brain function

And besides... it's not the fat that makes you fat!

What makes you fat, is an overdose of carbohydrates!

And most people don't know anything about their own diets. This usually leads people to adopt diets that have way to many carbs in them.

Carbohydrates give your body energy. But what if you put too much energy into your body? What if you eat more carbs than what your body can process?

It gets stored as reserve energy, ofcourse. And we all know what that means, right?

Right... body fat!

So in order to lose weight fast, you need to get off that carb-laden diet of yours and get on another one that has less carbs, more proteins and some of the good fatty acids.

Lose Weight Fast

By taking on a diet that is about 40% carbs, 50% proteins and 10% fatty acids, you have already tackled the largest part of the problem.

After adopting your new healthy diet as the new standard, all you have to do now is work in some exercise.

The exercise will help you increase your metabolism. It will make it easier for you to create a calorie shortage of a few hundred calories per day.

Don't rely on exercise alone to get to that shortage. Let it come from your diet. Figure out exactly how many you need to eat in order to stay at your current weight, then subtract a little from it.

Don't cut just the proteins, or just the carbs, or just the fatty acids.

Take a little off of everything and keep the nutrients in your diet balanced.

Now make sure that you stick to that diet over a longer period of time. You will be burning fat during this period.

You can only keep it up for so long until your body starts resisting the burning of fat. Everybody hits a ceiling once in a while. This happens after about 6 weeks of following the same routine.

This is why, after 6 weeks, you need to increase your caloric intake a little and let your body get used to a normal amount of calories.

You can attempt another 6 week fat burning period after eating normal amounts over the period of a few weeks.

It's possible that you gain back some of your weight in this period. But this is completely okay!

It won't be (all) fat that causes the weight gain, because of your new and healthy diet.

As weird as it sounds, it is entirely possible to from 180 pounds to 160 pounds multiple times over, and look better every time you go from 180 to 160!

Don't expect to lose all your weight at once. One single exercise/diet plan will never work for months in row.

Mix it all up a little to surprise your body. You'll be sure to see some good results!
