You go to the gym three days a week and put in a serious workout. Yes you are gaining muscle but you aren’t gaining muscle as fast as you think you should. There has to be a reason. Possibly the reason that you are not building muscle fast is your diet.
If you are looking to build muscle fast, you need to provide your body with enough nutrients to build that muscle. Of all of the people who find it hard to gain muscles, 99% of them don’t provide their body with enough nutrients to build muscles fast.
In order to build muscles fast, you must eat 25 calories and 1.5 grams of protein per pound that you weigh, every day. If you weigh 150 pounds that means that your diet must have at least 3,750 calories and 225 grams of protein everyday. If your diet doesn’t meet these requirements, then you aren’t going to put on muscle.

One of the easiest ways to include extra protein and calories in your diet is to use protein drinks. These protein drinks are available in any health food store and can be purchased in various size containers. The most economical way to do this is buy the 5 lb container. You will get more products for less money and you will use these in your diet.
One thing that your mother was right about is that a good breakfast should start your day. A large protein drink or shake made with low fat milk, two or three slices of whole grain toast with peanut butter and a bowl of oatmeal or whole grain non sugared cereal should provide you with 1000 calories and 50 grams of protein. Wait a minute, you think, I can get 1000 calories of breakfast at the local fast food restaurant. Yes you could, but if you are looking to build muscle fast, you want to stay away from high fat content foods. Fat in foods does nothing to help your body build muscle.
You can create foods that are high in protein and high in calories at home. If for example, you fix chicken cacciatore using whole grain pasta for dinner, fix enough so that you can put it in a plastic container and microwave it for lunch. There are literally hundreds of cookbooks available that will provide you high protein, high calorie and low fat recipes. Yes you can cook, just follow the directions in the cookbook.
If you are looking to build muscles fast, you must provide your body with the tools to do it. You must provide enough calories and protein to allow the body to repair and build the muscles damaged through an exercise program. You can build muscles fast; you simply need to give your body the tools to do it.
