If you're looking to lose a few pounds in the coming weeks, I suggest you start with the fundamentation of any good weight loss attempt: your diet.

Next to your diet, you also need a good exercise program to boost your results and keep your body healthy.

Throw in plenty of rest, and you'll turn your body into a fat burning machine in absolutely no time. You can start doing so today if you really wanted to!

As long as you have a good weight loss diet adopted as your new standard, you really can't fail.

How To Lose Weight Fast

Now about your diet... you need to eat all the right foods so you get the nutrients you need. You need variation in your diet as well.

Your nutrients are the ones responsible for keeping you healthy. Nutrients can make you weak and they can make you strong. They can make you exhausted and they can make you energetic. It all depends on what you eat!

Naturally, you want to feel strong and energetic. Especially when you are trying to get your body to burn fat!

So which foods help you burn fat?

As it turns out, there are quite a few fat burning foods available to you!

Fat Burning Foods

1. Tuna

Tuna can help you lower your leptin levels. Leptin is a hormone that determines if your body is in fat burning mode or note. Lowering your leptin levels a little can help you burn more fat more easily.

2. Lean Beef

Lean beef contains lots of proteins. Proteins can give your metabolism a boost because proteins require more energy to be processed by the body than fats and carbs. Keep in mind that the 'lean' part is important. Fat beef is detrimental to your fat burning efforts.

3. Jalapenos

Jalapenos. These hot & spicy little buggers contain capsaicin. Capsaicin increases your heart rate and boosts your metabolism. If your stomach is feeling a little empty, a jalapeno is a small snack that can help you get through the slump.

4. Coffee

Coffee contains caffeine. No surprise there! All types of coffee have it. But many types of coffee also have lots of milk and sugar in it. The calories from this can pretty much cancel out the increased heart rate and metabolic boost that you get from the caffeine. So go easy on the milk and sugar!

5. Green Tea

Green tea contains caffeine and a chemical called EGCG. Both of these will give your body a metabolic boost. Drinking 5 cups of green tea daily can cause you to burn 80 calories more. The good news is, this even happens when you are not exercising and your body is at rest.

6. Chicken

Chicken contains a type of protein that gives your metabolism a great boost. Eating a little more protein and a little less carbs can boost your daily calorie burning by as much as 5%.

7. Salmon

Salmon contains the very healthy Omega 3 fatty acids. These fats can help you lower your leptin levels. Lower leptin levels can help you burn the fat more easily.

8. Turkey

Turkey is another source of very healthy lean proteins. The proteins from turkey will increase your metabolism. Turkey also contains tryptophan, which can help you get to sleep more easily. Rest is also very important when you are trying to lose weight.

9. Sardines

Sardines are a fantastic source of very healthy fish oil. Fish oil has the good Omega 3 fatty acids. Replacing any other fat intake with Omega 3 fish oil fat will help you lose more weight without any extra effort.

10. Cayenne Chiles

Cayenne chiles are very often ground into cayenne pepper. The spicy components of cayenne pepper will increase your heart rate. Your metabolism can be increased by as much as 25%. The effects of this last up to 3 hours after eating it.

11. Habaneros

Habaneros are extremely hot chile peppers. A study from Laval University in Quebec has found that you can burn up to 1000 calories more if your weight loss diet has coffee and lots of habaneros laden snacks.

12. Milk

Milk contains calcium, a nutrient that your body sorely needs. It helps you lose weight more easily. Milk also contains carbs that help your insulin levels stay low. Low insulin levels are required if you want your body to burn fat.

13. Oats

Oats have lots of fiber in them. Fiber helps you better digest your food. Also, the carbs you get from oats break down slowly. This prevent insulin spikes in the body. Insulin spikes stop your body's fat burning ability dead in its tracks.

14. Whole Grain Cereal

Whole grain cereal is another great source of healthy fibers and complex carbs that break down slowly. The fibers will stick to some of the fat you eat and will cause these fats to pass through you without being absorbed by the body.

15. Pork

Pork is a good source of proteins. Proteins cost your body a lot of energy to break down. Naturally, the pork has to be lean. Spice up your pork with some herbs for a added fat metabolism boost.

Fast Weight Loss Diets

Of all the fat burning foods listed above, you would do well to make sure that you have at least 10 of them in your weight loss diet.

With these foods, you really can't miss. You will lose weight even without exercise if only you're on a good diet.

Combine these fat burning foods with exercise, and you will see fabulous results in only weeks!
