Fat Loss For Idiots Diet

The concept of the Fat Loss For Idiots Diet makes sense and is designed to boost your metabolism. The foods in this diet may not be anything new to you, but the methods they teach you are different.

They basically have two plans that you can follow.

1.) You can follow the list of Rules and make up your own diet:

There will be carb meals and protein meals....or a combination. You're body gets locked into the carb meals and then when you switch to a protein meal it shocks the system.

2.) The Diet Generator (also available in a vegetarian version).

They give you different choices and you choose what you want...then you can print the entire menu up for the next 11 days.

Make sure you read all the details and 'rules' of the diet. It will tell you that you should only use low fat or fat free mayo, cottage cheese etc. So butter and milk would be out. You can have a banana shake with low fat milk, for example.

What they basically teach you is if you eat the same types of foods all the time eventually you don't take off any weight because your body adjusts itself to surviving off of that same type of food.

Buying food is fairly cheap. You don't have to buy a lot of exspensive foods. Meats include your choice of tuna, chicken, lean ground turkey, and a few sandwiches. Other than that, it is basically eggs, fruit, vegetables, cottage cheese, and mixed nuts. You eat 4 times a day and as much as you want. The reason for the planner is to tell which days to eat more protein and which days to eat more carbs.

Why not give this diet a shot? You may not be sorry that you did!

Is Fat Loss For Idiots A Fad?

It's basically a low fat, low carb diet. The diet is mainly made up of fruits, vegetables and lean proteins and the sources of fat come from whole foods like eggs and cottage cheese. You're not supposed to eat anything processed or anything that has a lot of sugar in it. You get to eat some carbs like pasta and oatmeal. The one thing that you may find a little different...compared to other diets...is that they switch the types of foods you eat every few days to (supposedly) trick your metabolism. Maybe that's the key! In the first few pages of instructions they make a point that if you normally eat 2500 calories a day and then drop down to 1000 - your body will adjust itself to that 1000 calories (because it's thinks it's being startved), so you don't lose weight. Same thing with water. If you don't drink enough water, your body retains it (thinking it won't get any more).

This is a simple diet and it's healthy. You don't have to weigh or measure anything and there is no limit to the amount of food that you eat. You just eat until you are satisfied and you may find yourself with no cravings.

Is this diet a fad diet? I don't know, time will tell us if it is.
