Getting to the Heart of Fat Loss
Fat loss is not easy. We all know that. Unfortunately, too many people try to convince themselves that it can be easy. This leads to useless and often costly experimentation with gimmicks, gadgets, pills, and fad diets. These things claim to make fat loss easy, but they cannot possibly live up to their claims. This is because fat loss cannot be easy!
If fat loss were easy then very few people in this world would be fat. One trip into town (or anywhere there are people) will show you that is clearly not the case. We have a problem with obesity in the world right now. We have a problem with too many people being overweight. This is leading to a decline in overall health and a rise in disease. And this is all despite the amazing advances in technology over the past few decades!
Now that I have painted the gloomy picture, I want to offer you something that can change your life. I want to show you that you can use your own problems with fat loss and fuel something special. I want to give you the power to create a force so incredible that you cannot wait to go do something productive.
Actually, you already have this power. In fact, you already have the power it takes to influence the world as much as any man or woman ever has. You have the same power possessed at one point by Abraham Lincoln, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Mohatma Ghandi, Albert Einstein, and all great historical figures. You have this power within you. You just have yet to find it.
Using Your Untapped Potential
The truth is we never use up all of our potential as humans. We always have some untapped energy that we cannot seem to reach. However, by digging deeper and deeper we can use more and more of our human capabilities and accomplish truly great things.
This is what is so great about a fat loss journey. Throughout the process, you are able to test your capabilities and push yourself to new limits every single day. I always say that with the proper mindset you can find out more about yourself in one day on a fat loss program than in your whole life to that point.
How do you do this?
First, you need to put your awesome potential and capabilities in the forefront of your mind. When you are working out, try to get yourself into a "zone". Block out all other thought and concentrate on the task at hand. As you are working and things begin to get difficult, imagine yourself sitting in your comfort zone. You know that the only way you can progress in if you somehow manage to break out of this comfort zone. To do this, you must reach down inside yourself and unleash an effort that is greater than anything you have ever done. You must will yourself out of that comfort zone box. You must bust through the barricades.
What Is Stopping You?
The only thing that can stop you is whatever lies in your own mind. Have no doubts that you can reach these new heights. Fear not the temporary discomfort of going to a level you have never before experienced. Rather, welcome this discomfort as a sign of growth and progress. Realize that no achievement worth noting ever comes easy. Your effort is worthy of extreme satisfaction.
Getting out of that comfort zone is a struggle that most people never conquer. It is a battle that is rarely ever one. This is why most people never achieve the amazing things that are possible with a good fat loss program.
And the possibilities truly are amazing. You have undoubtedly seen or heard stories of people who were able to turn their lives around. These people "got it". They realized that they were in for a battle and that battle was not going to be easy. They admitted their past weeknesses and resolved to do something to change. They followed up their resolutions with solid, consistent effort, constantly pushing themselves to new heights.
The Heart of the Inspiration
These stories are so inspiring because, in the end, not only did the heroes accomplish great things, but they discovered new and better lives. They found true happiness. True happiness does not come from diet pills or ab rollers or surgery. Rather, it comes from the heart. It comes from that special something that you found deep down in your heart and soul and unleashed as you transformed your life.
This can certainly be you. You can transform your life and create an inspirational stories just like the ones you see on TV and in magazines. You can be an inspiration to the people around you. You can inspire your friends and family. Most importantly, you can inspire yourself. In the process, I'm sure you will find your true happiness.
When it comes to those everyday decisions along your fat loss journey, think about what lies down the road. Think about what will make you truly happy. Then ask yourself if the short-term pleasure you may get from eating that doughnut or skipping that workout is worth sacrificing your long-term happiness.
Break out of your comfort zone and enjoy every minute of it. This is one giant step on the path to your true happiness.
Things You Can Do Right Now
Here is a list of a few things that you can do right now to help unlock your true fat loss potential:
- Write down all your goals, being as specific as possible.
- Write a personal mission statement saying (in your own meaningful words) that you will achieve these goals at all costs.
- Write down exactly why you want to achieve these goals.
- Make copies of these things and put them in various places that you will come across often throughout the day.
- Put a note to yourself on your mirror (again in your own words) stating something like "Today is going to be a great day because I have the power to make it one". This is to be read every morning.
