If you believe that your portable digital music player cant deliver the audiophile quality sound that may be Fatman iTube Dock can challenge your thoughts. We all are not unaware of the remarkable sound quality that can be retrieved from 4th generation iPod. Apple's lossless codec and a docked iPod plugged into high end stereo system already surprised too much demanding audiophiles in a demo by Wilson Audio at CES 2004. So now the chances are bright for any concept like that.

You never know the people who go to any extent to get better audio from the iPod. RedWineAudio makes lot of claims that they squeeze every bit of acoustic goodness possible out of Wolfson's WM8975 by eliminating practically everything in the signal path. So you can expect to get purest audio from an MP3 but it might not appeal you lookwise.

Fatman unconfined recently a more stylish approach of retrieving better sound out of Apple's MP3 player which is called as the iTube iPod Dock. It bridges the gap between digital and analogue audio technology. And to bring in your good books this is the best looking iPod accessory to come along in awhile even if you are a bit disgruntled about the higher distortion and power consumption of tubes.

The iTube is compatible with every iPod except the shuffle enabling you to select music or video via remote control. The unit fits comfortably on a desk and has a headphone jack for your favorite set of cans. At about £254.95 inclusive of VAT Fatman's iTube isn't cheap but promising for audiophiles.
