Favorite Hobby

In response to the question asked by Patty Inglish, my favorite hobby would have to be two part. Being an avid gamer, I love playing World of Warcraft. It gives me some release from stress and tension, and helps me wind down at night. I have several characters, but play my gnome warrior the most.

My second hobby is also one I am attempting to grow into a part time job, or at least get some recognition for it. I do nature/wildlife photography. I own a Canon EOS 20D, several lens, and a good tripod and mono-pod. I have been experimenting with this camera for about a year now, and still feel I am only scratching the surface of its capabilities. Currently with the weather cooling down I have a couple of projects to do. The first is a photo journal and a calendar of Cades Cove in Townsend Tennessee. The second is to track down and photograph a big cat in the Citico wilderness area. Rumors have been surfacing for years of big cats out there, and I know several who have seen one. My goal is to provide photographic proof. So far I have photographed many deer, turkey and black bear, and even a coyote once or twice. And of course my fierce wild pekingese has been the subject of many shots.

I went and checked out a few of your photo albums. The Smokey Mt. series had some nice shots. The Rustic Cabin and Snow and Ice were my favorites.

Thanks. Just starting out and it is hard. Luckily living where I do, plenty of photo ops.

Yes, I agree with Jarrain. I have always enjoyed the Smokey Mountains. Great photos!
