Definition of the word Boast: To brag about something of yours.

Psalms chapter 94 - 4 : How long shall they utter and speak hardship; and all the works of iniquity boast themselves.

Proverbs chapter 27 - 1&2 : Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not, what a day may bring  forth.

2. Let another man praise thee , and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.

Ephesians chapter 2 - 9 : Not of works, lest any man should boast.

2 Corinthians chapter 11 - 16 : I say again, let no man think me a fool; if others wise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.

As children growing up, we never had a lot of material things because our parent couldn't afford them. Some times we wanted to do certain things  or to buy certain things, but our parent didn't the money  to afford such things. Most time's we did without, and I never wanted to feel bad, when they couldn't do things for us.  Many times I cried about it, but my parent never knew because I didn't want them to feel bad; so I kept my pain and hurt to myself.

We might not have had many of the material things in like but they gave us a lot of lot and care and emotional stability.Our parent taught us how to love and treat people  the way we want to be treated; they also taught us not to boast and brag about what we got to others, that don't have.I learned  through the teaching of my parent and the bible teaching , that bragging and boasting  about your material  or financial gain is a detriment takes from us

We should only boast and brag to the people that has what you got or more; we should never boast and brag to those that are less fortunate than us. We don't want to boast and brag to our sisters and brothers in Christ; because they don't have what you have, but if you want to do something really good , give something to those that are less fortunate than we are, and we will realize how good it feels to share your blessings with other.

So, if God bless you with something grand and something special, don't boast and brag about it, because it can be taken from you just like he gave it to you.
