Federal Government Takeover Of AIG...Pick And Choose?
50
The country awakens this morning to the blaring headline.... Federal govenment bails out AIG.
It is much more than that .
Our federal government has taken over AIG...the largest industrial insurance/loan corporation in the world. It has not just bailed AIG out with a loan..it has made that loan and in turn has taken over ownership of 79,9% of its stock and replaced its management with its own people.
Of course.. it is really we the people who now own this company...but we will never have a say in any of it.
Our government is becoming a money maker with the use of our money.
Maurice ``Hank'' Greenberg was the head of AIG for four decades. His question is.......
".Why would you want to wipe out shareholders when you just need a bridge loan?'' Greenberg, 83, said in an interview before the announcement. ``It doesn't make any sense.''
Why wasn't it allowed ot go out on the market as Lehman is now doing..and let the chips fall where they may in a free open market system where even ..yes.. our money corporations are at the mercy of that market?
There is another queston in the air. Why bail out...takeover.. AIG.. and not Lehman?
Pick and choose. Is that how it will be from this day on? Will our government weigh the monetary / power plusses in each corporation about to fail ..then stand above them all and decide which is worth "saving"?
Fannie Mae / Fannie Mac..AIG....the first three...three who will never ever be free corporations again.. if they ever were from the start.
Our government has no business stepping in to become corporation owners.
Has the first strong step been now taken to where there is no turning back?
Have we once and for all been really turned on that "road of change" that Barack Obama sincerely intends to set us on..the road to full federal control of everything in our lives?
Is it the first steps to the collapse of our freedom as we have always known them... as our Constituion was written to protect them?
We have what is probably the most corrupt arm of government in control of our Congress now that we have ever had. To know that ..all you need to do is a little research into the truth that our national media never ever lets us in on.
Fannie Mae and Fannie Mac put more money into the pocket of more politicians...DEMOCRAT politicians than they would ever want you to know.
What and how do those Democrats intend to profit by the takeover of AIG? I say profit..becasue the all mighty dollar has become their tool...as they have become its god....and they will control all in their realm with that one tool..money.
It is we the people who are allowing it by our own greed..our own love for money.
Free flow. That is what we need. Free flow. If a corporation has gotten itself in trouble....let it get itself out of trouble.
Fail? Let it fail. Will people lose "money"? Of course. They will survive.
Of course..that is another aspect of life our wonderful Democrats will never ever allow anyone to do...fail....not from age one up!
How in the world will anyone learn anything without failure?
We the people will silently sit back and watch as our federal government takes over. Are we the ones who ulitmately set this up because of our own love of money?
What a sad day in the history of our country.
The Federal Government bails out AIG?
No.
The Federal Government takes over AIG and Barack Obama is on top of his world..clapping his hands in glee. His work has been begun for him.
The Federal Government takeover of AIG ... what looks to me like a true pick and choose move... is a huge alarm ringing in my heart.
Is it really too late to turn back the clock.. to get our government back to we the people?
Only time will tell.. but as long as we the peole sit idly by... and don't take the responsibility to really truly see what our government is doing.. and don't take the responsibility to really truly learn what our political candidates want to do... and think only of what we can get for our money.....and buy cheap junk made in China the very breath of this nation stands on the brink of more and more takeovers......federal takeovers like that of AIG..... a pick and choose movement for sure.... a step forward to controlling each and every one of our lives.

Bernake approved it.. the government acted on that approval. Our federal government has no business taking over any corporations of any kind...period...not for any reason.
The more the government steps into our lives... the less and less we have...of eveything.
Do you think any of us will profit by what we now "OWN".... forced on us by the federal government?
How does the government plan to tax us now to pay for these new "thngs" we now "own"?
Well, it's gonna get ugly. You can bet on that. It already is. I agree, what they've done is inexusable.
Agreed.. it is getting ugly.. and hopefully somehow we can force those tentacles that are coming through our government to lose their grip on we the people before we really have nothing left.

Well, actually McCain has been voting for deregulation of the financial industry for his entire career, and deregulation is arguably what brought us to this sorry state. Bernake, who made the decision, is not even a government employee---the Fed is owned and operated by a consortium of major banks, independent of the US government. How does get off putting you and me on the hook for $85 billion more when we have no representation in the matter? Good question.
As to blame though, there is plenty to go around for both parties. Obama is not clapping his hands in glee. By November, we'll be lucky if either of them even WANT the Presidency, things will be so bad. But if you think the party that gave us Reaganomics is going to save you now, you are sorely mistaken. In case anyone has failed to notice, ordinary people don't matter anymore. Wall Street matters, lobbyists matter, CEOs matter---you and me? They'll be making dog food out of you and me any day now regardless of who wins the election.
Well, at least it won't have melamine in it.
