The plane started its descent, we flew over the river Thames and the view was all tilted and absolutely spectacular. You can’t but fall in love with this place.
If you want a bustling city with fantastic shopping and pulsing energy, great outdoors and
restaurants and amazing sightseeing London is the city for you. The best things in London are free. Yes, free. You don’t need to pay to walk round the parks, you can take photos of Piccadilly and its fountains for free. You don’t need to pay to walk around Trafalgar square or scare the pigeons in front of the National Gallery. From Trafalgar Square you can even see the Big Ben. And all this is just the start.
The city has the population of twelve million and is actually a collection of little cities within the city and hotels are abundant (check the site booking.com for the latest information on the deals you can get. Just make sure breakfast is included, because breakfast itself might cost you up to £30 per person. On the official site of the capital http://www.visitlondon.com you can find more useful information).
London is famous for its districts Coven Garden, Westminster, Hampstead, Mayfair(http://www.mayfairhighlife.com) are just some of them and each one will offer you something different.
There are many landmarks in London that you simply must see. London Underground is a good and affordable way to get around. Some of the sightseeing points are within a walking distance from one another, like Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square for example. They are only a short run by underground, popularly called the
tube, but you can easily walk the distance too. Head south from there and after a short walk you will find yourself on Trafalgar Square, looking at Nelson’s column.
People. People everywhere. Prepare yourself for that and the street entertainers, until they move you simply can not be sure they are living beings. Follow the sound of music in Coven Garden, between your shopping outbursts. London Eye, 135 metres high wheel opened in the year 2000, will give you fantastic views of the city. There is another attraction in the same area, London Aquarium.
