Whether its the the flu, a cold and rainy day, or an annoying boss, sometimes we are all in need of a little comfort. In order to obtain that warm and fuzzy feeling we turn to a friend, a family member, a good book, or, more often than not, a bowl and a spoon. The next time you're feeling low, treat yourself to one of my all-time favorite comfort foods...

  • Velveeta Shells & Cheese
  • Spaghetti & meat sauce with Texas Cheese Toast
  • Mint chocolate chip, or chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream
  • Buffalo Wild Wings boneless honey BBQ wings with ranch dressing
  • Oreo cookies & milk
  • Seafood fettucini alfredo
  • Grilled cheese sandwich & tomato soup
  • Meatball sub
  • Cheeseburger & French fries
  • Meatloaf & mashed potatoes
  • Tortilla chips & cheesy salsa dip
  • Pancakes with strawberries & whipped cream
  • Chicken noodle soup
  • Broccoli casserole
  • Chili
  • Mexican cornbread and milk
  • Chicken or shrimp fajitas with guacamoleĀ
  • Supreme pizza
  • Chocolate cake with chocolate icing

All my Southerners out there will appreciate this last one (it's an entire meal)...salmon cakes, mustard greens, macaroni and tomatoes, fried potatoes with onions, soup beans, cornbread, and milk. If you're watching your weight, eat at your own risk.

So hungry.

Pasta. Rice pudding. Cold chinese food. Tea and toast. And chocolate, of course. Now you've got me thinking about all kinds of food, dang, and I just had supper. Neat idea for a hub!

I agree, great hub!

My top comfort drink is a pint of tea, and as for food, you can't beat scrambled eggs on toast.
